English version below. Mizerna kvalita za vysoku cenu This hotel used to be nice at the beginning but the way it's maintained necessarily leads to current state. In the bathroom there is old jacuzzi, not working and collecting blight, the walls were painted some time ago, TV running and saying HD channels but the quality is not there. Overall miserable quality for high costs.
This hotel does not deserve more than 2 or 3 stars. If it would have had less stars I wouldn’t have difficulties with it but now it’s a disaster, because of several reasons: Bathroom: The picture of the amazing bathtub is misleading potential guests. In my room (number 3) none of the functions worked (bubble bath, steaming bath, shower heads on the sides of the shower, radio,…). I complained about it and the receptionists changed my room after a couple of days. In the new room (room 3) I filled the bath with water but unfortunately it was also filled with a lot of dirt and even mold! That came out of the jets of the Jacuzzi. The shower heads on the sides of the shower work put not properly and also dirt came out these shower heads. There also were toothpaste stains beside the sink that I could wipe very easily in the first room and dust on the heater in both rooms. In the first room there were cotton pads that weren’t supplemented when they were used up. In the second room there were no cotton pads. In both rooms there was hand soap, shower soap/shampoo (in one). The hairdryer is of bad quality (not strong) and heats up in your hands. So if you have long hear you can’t dry your hear at once. Bedroom: The bed has no mattress but a piece of foam. You wake up with backache in the morning. The receptionist gave me a blanket and a duvet to put between the sheet and the foam, what helped a bit. The TV has only Slovakian channels. There are no international (English) channels. The curtains are not darkening. Even at night there is a lot of light in the room. If you want to go the toilet you don’t have to put on the light. Dirty glasses are not replaced. In the second room the safe didn’t work. In the first room was any information brochure. In the second one there was one but there was no information about the hotel itself (check-in/out times, breakfast time, luggage room,…). In the second room there was a brochure about Nitra. Breakfast: The breakfast is a 2/3 star hotel breakfast. It includes slices of bread and some small bread, four different kinds of meat fillings, cheese, jam, chocolate spread, honey, butter, 2 kinds of cereals, milk, sparkling water, orange juice, coffee, tea. Also some fruits and cookies. It’s ok but not for a 4 star hotel. The staff is very friendly but they don’t speak English whereby they can’t help and serve you properly. F.e. on my last day, after I finished my breakfast I saw that a guest got scrambled eggs. I presume nobody told me I could get eggs if asked for it because the staff couldn’t explain it in English. The older lady bought the tea I liked when it was used up. I think she went to the supermarket just because she knew I liked it. The floor and carpets are covered with (a lot of) bread crumbs and other dirt. You see that it hasn’t been vacuumed in days or even weeks. Besides the coffee machine the wood of the closet where it’s in, is dirty. Receptionists: They were very friendly and helpful. They did the best they could to solve some of the problems Problem is that most of my complaints have to be taking care of by the management. I can’t image that I am the first one who complaints about the discrepancy between the 4 stars and the reality. I have send this information to the hotel management. Three weeks later I didn't get any respons. For me it proves that they don't care what guests think....…
We stayed 1 night and it was nice. Spacious rooms.. good beds, balcony. The breakfast was a bit poor. Good service. Parking. They have nice restaurant on last floor. The shower is a bit old and soon will need replacement.. but overall very nice!
We were there for a week, during the Esperanto World Congress. Nice large room, Excellent breakfast . In the bathroom there was a specially impressive computerized sauna that didn't work. Staff very friendly and helpful, some laundry we sent was free. It is a small hotel. Only complaint: just one "key" card for the room, but they went up immediately from reception to open when needed.
during my visit I was visit in this hotel. Big room, clean and warm. Too bad the jobs that were taking place. Good place, located in the center of Nitra, close to everything and foot accessible to all. Good breakfast, good service and good people.
I was there both for job, both for my personale travel. The location is optimal, in the main street near to all the places you can visit in Nitra (e.g. monuments, churchs, pubs). The staff is really professional and very kind at the same time. The restaurant and the breakfast are good. Rooms are big, confortable, clean. A really elegant hotel.
I was in this Hotel during 2013's Christama Holidays, and it was kept open with only one room booked. The breakfast was good and freshly made for us. Even gluten free requirements have been duly supported. Personnel was kind and nice to us. The room was really nice. I would definitely reccommend this hotel!!!!
We spent two nights in this small hotel and were given a double room on the first floor. The room was quite spacious, very clean and new. The bathroom was also quite big and modern with a very big and technological shower equipped with steam and hydromassage. We didn't try the restaurant but we had breakfast there. It's located on the third floor of the building with a good view of Nitra Castle. For breakfast all the essential things were provided including very fresh and excellent croissant. Overall staying at this hotel was very positive experience.
It is a very modern hotel in the heart of old Nitra, on one side is the pedestrian zone with quite a few good restaurants. On the other site is the old town on a hill. The hotel is good, designed in a way you could call kitsch, but still pleasant. Rooms are spacious. Service is good, but a little formal. You can oark your car behind the hotel on their private parking. Breakfast is good.
Stayed there while on business in the region. Large, modern, immaculately clean room with all the facilities one would expect, on the third floor (same as restaurant), with balcony. Free parking, free WIFI. Right in the town centre, with quite a few good bars and restaurants a short walk away. The shower is quite an experience -- needs astronaut training to operate, but can also be used in basic mode. The staff was friendly, breakfast copious with enough variety (though one had to seek out the delicate local stuff). The only thing that marred my joy a little bit was the inadeqaute A/C -- perhapos forgivable because I was there during a heatwave, with outside temperature 36-38 degC.
