Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice hotel. I have no bad things to say about this hotel. On the other hand, I have no good things to say....
Average hotel. Nice room. Nothing fancy. Clean. The bathroom is very basic.
Middle of the lobby is 2 lane bowling hall...unique.

This is a great place to stay. Me and my colleagues got off the train to a deserted platform and started to wonder if not getting a hire car was the right thing to do. As we found in most of slovakia there was excellent 3g phone coverage and managed to download a map and directions. Hotel Victoria was about 2km away so with no other options we walked it. It rained a lot and we were soaked when we arrived.
The hotel is like an oasis in a rather grotty looking residential area, there is a pool, spa, tennis courts, fantastic restaurant and bar and very comfortable rooms. The staff all speak great english and are very helpful. We really didnt want to go to work.
We visited in the summer, i think it may be a bit busier in the winter as i think its a ski resort, either way i would recommend it

Was in hotel for one night and it was quite disappointment. Room was ok (but without hotel menu), bathroom was 3* quality (plastic curtains in bath-tub, plastic cups, low quality toilet paper etc...). Food is ok but again- in 4 star I would expect something more than schnitzel or grilled cheese with potatoes... And dessert after meal was simply terrible. Breakfast with low quality tea, disgusting orange juice, cheap ham and cheese was below average. Service of waitress was very lame- she served men first, could hold only two plates... The best thing of all was very good and cheap home made beer.

Everything in hotel was closed after 22:00 (even bar, bowling..) and there was some old smelly guy in red jogging suite sitting on reception...

Spa is low quality- small "jacuzzi", dirty swimming pool... Everything is there just to be present and so it can be written in catalog and website.

Anyway it was still good for me, because I bought the stay in travel agency for 20 dollars/person with half board so I did not complain at all. However if you pay on spot, it is 70 euros for double room with breakfast and that is quite a lot of money for the service this hotel can offer.

Hotel is located out of city Martin. You can not walk to the city.
There is enough parking place.

Lobby is strange, unconfortable.

Room is clean, enough space. In room is available wifi and comfortable bed. Bud bath is non practical.
There is pool and welness included, but You have to walk trough long dark corridors there.
In wellnes is pool, whirlpool, Finn sauna, infra sauna and steam bath.
Breakfeast is below average, on the other hand in the same restaurant is available quite good restaurant with excellent beer from own microbrewery !
Hotel has own tennis courtes.
For bussines journey is hotel acceptable, if You are not together with partners or customers.

Nice hotel. Staff was kind, but not profesional. Details like forgoten items from the order in restaurant, longer waiting time for waitrer. Problem were very thin walls in the room. There was a family with 2 children above us and we couldnt sleelp because of their noise from early morning. Venue nice, they have a nice brewery with own beer. Food quality everage, but they serve meat from theyr own farm. Nice.

The hotel is outside city, but not problem to find with GPS. The room was big, but one can see that there were older furniture, TV and bathroom. May be all this already would need renovation but after the renovation it would be another price level. Wifi in the room was OK but I had problems in restaurant. There is wellness included in room price that was quite OK. The hotel has own small brewery with good beer, also the restaurant was good.

Hotel Victoria is a very good place to spent good time in comfortable way. It's in peaceful area, near forest and Martinskie Hole, so it's great place to stay there during winter. On the other side it's near to the center where you can find caffe bars, discos, wine bar and theatre.
Maby it's not very good information, but very important when you go skiing - the owners will halp you when you get crash on the lop, becouse they have contact to very good doctor.

Our stay in Victoria was a great pleasure!

The location of the hotel is outside the city centre. This make it harder to get somewhere without the car, but it is really quiet. If you like long walks, the hills and woods are nearby.

The rooms are really nice, clean and seem to be new. You can play some sports in the area or enjoy the wellness.

I was expecting much less and now I am happy we start having hotels on European level.

Be sure to book on e.g. booking.com to get much better price.
