I inform reception did not received any feedback. Bathroom, in the morning there wasn’t hot water, water was cold. I mentioned to the reception, she took direct action came to the room to check internet connection and water temperature. In the afternoon warm water was available. I noticed inside jacuzzi the shower head, after I dropped per accidentally the shower head nozzle ring and spacer ring opened due to dropping a lot of dirt I notify, shower head haven’t cleaned for years. Living room, huge television is there however the set top box doesn’t work, a 2nd television is available and working in the bed room. Each time the seats glides during use of sofa, solution can be ; placing thin rubber carpet to prevent sliding. Personnel; helpful employees. They are there for me! Clean but no or inconsistent water pressure in the room’s shower, the breakfast was not available until 07:30, no fitness center on site A one time visit Unlikely to stay here again unless I have no better options
We have stayed in many Kosice hotels for many years, and we stayed once at City Residence Apartments a few years ago, and decided to try it again on this occasion, and once again we had a very positive experience. We stayed in a Studio Apartment, much smaller than the apartment we stayed in previously, but this apartment definitely was not small, it was a huge room with a very large and comfortable King Size bed. Everything clean and nicely decorated. One slight disappointment was the shower room, although it was fine and very clean it was looking a little dated, so maybe a refurb is due. The extra thoughtful little touches make the big difference here, the welcome drink, offered when we checked in, then brought up to our room, was nice after a day of travel :-) Also we really appreciated the complimentary bottle of Slovak wine, plus some fruit, biscuits and water. Breakfast is chosen in the evening and delivered either to your room, in the café downstairs or in the very appealing outside courtyard, at your chosen time. We had our breakfast in the café, it was delicious, and the lady working there was very friendly. There are 20 choices on the breakfast menu, so something for everyone. We had the healthy 'smoothie' breakfast, and it was great. Location is nearer the top end of the main street, you can walk to the main street in about 5 minutes or so, and probably 15 minutes down to the Cathedral. There are lots of restaurants and bars on the main street. Considering the size of the rooms, the friendly and efficient staff, the great breakfasts and the extras you get in the rooms, you can easily see why this continues to be one of the better rated accommodations in Kosice. Good value too, I think I paid 80 something pounds (90 something Euros) including breakfast, for one night. Highly recommended.…
What a gem! I’m sorry I couldn’t stay longer and if I ever return to Kosice, this is where I will stay. Apparently I had the smallest apartment, but it was so big with basically four rooms! The shower was sheer luxury and I cannot believe there was a sauna, too! Such nice decor, with a lovely little kitchenette and cozy living room with fireplace. The staff were exceptionally helpful, including arranging for my taxi rides both from the airport and back. There’s nothing to worry about when you stay here, and you’re near both the centre of town with all the history and landmarks, as well as being right near public transit if you’d rather not walk. I love the configuration of the access through a private courtyard, it cut out any sign or sound of the streets beyond the entrance.
First off, the rooms in this hotel are gigantic. Truly gigantic! One of ours even had a sauna in it. The furnishings are nice, and the place is well maintained. The courtyard in the middle is delightful. The place looks a bit seedy from the outside, but once inside, it really is very nice. Free wine in every room! A few things to note, there are some quirks. There is no elevator so all luggage must go upstairs by your own carrying power. One of our airconditioners broke (it was unseasonably hot in August, so we did really need them) and the staff simply told us it was a holiday so the maintenance guy could not fix it for us. Sorry. Never was fixed! So it goes. Also, you have to order breakfast the night before by 7 PM - exactly what you want, and at what time you want it! It's not the hugest thing, but sometimes it is tough to know when and what you are going to want for breakfast the following day when its still late afternoon. All around, nice stay, just with couple caveats. …
In four colleagues we rented 4 rooms in this nice apartment hotel not far from the centre of Kosice. The apartments were equipped with whatever one can imagine including a sauna. Staff are very nice. Only drawback the breakfast which is ordered and prepared in advance and not as buffet style.
When being in Kosice doing business, I always stay here. It has its standards and they really look after you very nicely. Breakfast tastes great, fresh and rich choice. Rooms are modern and good looking. Also excellent location in the centre.
Great location close to the Old Town. Very friendly staff. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, well thought-out design and well-equiped. It has two badrooms, private sauna, kitchenette, bathroom. Complimentary water and welcome drink is waiting for you upon the arrival. There's a lot of toys for kids. And the toiletries for kids. Very nice. We were suggested to have our breakfast in room. That was very comfortable. The only thing that was unclear was breakfast. The room rate was indicated for 4 persons, but we were told that breakfast is included only for 3 persons, just because the kids are under 6. Well, not a big deal.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at City Residence. The facility is newly renovated (with parts still under renovation). Our apartment was large, attractive, well stocked, and incredibly clean. The welcome drink and gifts were a nice touch. The breakfasts were fantastic and the staff understood gluten allergy. There is a lovely cafe and courtyard where we enjoyed an espresso daily. Walking distance to downtown and very good restaurants. City Residence is an excellent facility in Slovakia which is not well known for its tourism. Best of all was the staff, in particular the manager. The majority of the staff spoke English which was helpful as we do not speak Slovak.
I spent 11 nights here on a business trip in Augusst 2018. The staff are great, the apartment was superb. So much better to pay for having a separate bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and living room - than paying the same cost for a hotel per night in Kosice! There is a breakfast menu (~20 items), a pillow menu (yes really :) ) and free bicycle included! What a pleasure to stay here. If and when I visit Kosice again, I will definitely stay here. I had a mid-range room on the first floor. My thanks go to the great staff Lara and Simona especially.
