Family Hotel Ambassador**** is located in the Košice municipal preserve. The original old part of the hotel is a protected cultural monument and its origin dates back to the period around the second half of the 13th century. Hotel Ambassador is located in the Košice municipal preserve. The building originally served as a dwelling house and underwent several reconstructions in the past. The present complex look is the result of a reconstruction in combination with an additional building and a new building completed in September 2009. The hotel is established in the pedestrian zone in Main Street near the oldest and the most interesting cultural sights, such as the St. Elizabeth's Cathedral, the National Theatre, the Andrássy Palace, and others. We offer accommodation in 5 single rooms, 16 double rooms, and two luxury apartment-type rooms. The rooms are equipped with the following standard: an LCD-TV with the hotel television "interactive system", , air conditioning, direct telephone line, cable and wireless Internet access, an electric kettle, a bathroom with toilet, shower, and a bath tube or just shower, and a hair dryer. Our guests can visit our cafés, whereas Café BAYER is a smoking café and Café AMBASSADOR is a non-smoking one. In our higher-standard restaurant DIPLOMAT you are welcome to taste dishes of both the international and the Slovak cuisine, as well as quality Slovak and international wines. Our guests may use our wellness centre for relaxation, as well as the wine bar for private parties on request in advance. In addition, we offer a lounge, a conference room, and a banquet room, in which we can arrange conferences with the possibility of using a portable congress system with audio system and didactic equipment. There is guarded parking next to the hotel. Of course, the following services are available: room service, laundry and ironing, renting a laptop, daily newspaper, and others.

We had privilege to enjoy our Valentine's day with 5 course dinner in this glamorous restaurant. Beautifully arranged table with roses and candles, thoughtfully selected romantic music, lovely view of main street, excellent food that looked great and tasted even better. I recommend trying the beetroot soup with goat cheese, it was second to none.

Thanks for great experience, looking forward to come back again!

Everything. Our first visit to Kosice so booked this hotel after a bit of research and we weren't disappointed. About €8 in a Bolt from the airport. The hotel is right on the main street, which is pedestrianised, so as central as you can be. The staff were all extremely friendly and professional. Our room was great, plenty big enough, spotlessly clean and with aircon. The bed was excellent and very comfy. Although in the centre of town it is very quiet. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. One day they had a run out of a few things but we were there about 30 mins from finish. If your staying here book the spa, it's fantastic. It's €30 but you get your own private spa for 90 minutes. It has a jacuzzi, sauna, heated relaxing chairs and is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures. Nice bar too. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a well placed establishment with pleasent helpful staff.
We were given a small attic room on the first of our 4 nights but were moved to a bigger room after.
All very clean with the usual t.v, mini bar, soaps etc.
My only gripe was that the bar was shut at 10.00 p.m.when we arrived and a light supper was unavailable.
No complementary crisps/nuts in the bar either.

We travelled for a family wedding and were so impressed with everything.
Its right in the center of Kosice, such a beautiful and tranquil town and, close to fantastic eateries, shops and pubs and so easy to connect with other family and friends also staying in town. The hotels laid back ambience was great. The beds were so comfy, fantastic shower and bath, good breakfast choices and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Kosice may have been a big let down, but I cannot fault this hotel. Very smart and well operated. Pleasant staff, great breakfast. Although I do not recommend Kosice overall, the location is perfect.

A GREAT hotel in the center of downtown pedestrian square in Kosice. Never had a cleaner room. Rooms were small, but very nice. Front
desk people all spoke english, were very friendly & very helpful. Free breakfast vouchers, and the breakfast was GOOD (choice between 7 or 8 kinds).
ONLY complaint was air conditioning was broken & they didn't know how to fix it (or I didn't know how to complain assertively) but my room had 3 skylights so wasn't a big deal.
Cafes & shops right outside. Huge fun Tesco 4floor dept store 5min's walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic hotel ideal for a trip to Kosice, on the main square handy for all the sights and attractions (which are not too many).

We were here during European heatwave and the air con worked a treat.

The staff were very very helpful and nice.

The hotel Ambassador is a wonderful place to stay while in Kosice. It is located on the main market square. The rooms are large and very clean (with air conditioning!!). The staff is extremely helpful and bi-lingual. The city of Kosice is a must see. The sites definitely take you back in time. The city has taken great pride in maintaining the historical aspects of the city. Scattered throughout the city are remnants of the communist era. For history/architecture enthusiasts this is worth seeing. The open air market is great. This should definitely be a stop while in Kosice. You never know what you will find there. The catacombs provide a great perspective into the history of the city. Kosice is extremely clean and the "locals" are very helpful and friendly. Getting around the city is very easy. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. The Tatra Mountains are breath taking. Kosice is extremely affordable. It is without question an undiscovered gem!

The old centre of Kosice is beautiful.. The hotel's location in the City centre on the main square, Hlavna, is ideal, as it is pedestrianised. It about a kilometre from the station, bus and tram termini. There is a range of cafes and restaurants all along Hlavna, which is about a 15 minute walk from one end to the other. There is a Tesco Supermarket near to the hotel entrance and M&S is at the southern end of the square. The rooms in the Hotel were very comfortable and clean with plenty of space. The reception staff spoke excellent English and were particularly helpful with local advice and knowledge. The range of food at breakfast was perfect.
