As the title says. The hotel is basic but spacious. Nice breakfast (not cooked food at weekend)
Very clean room, comfy bed. Friendly and obliging staff.
Perhaps a little tired looking but no complaints at the competitive price.
Fridge in room. Would have been nice to make a hot drink in room.
10-15 min walk from railway station and further 10 min walk to city centre.
I would go back without hesitation.

Situated about 10 minute walk from the main railway station and from the City Centre. It is unfortunate that it is located on the edge of a 'red-light' district! The rooms were comfortable. Some noise from returning guests on first night but OK thereafter. Limited breakfast at weekends.

The location is close to the city center, only 5 minutes walk. You can park your car in front of the hotel. Staff is helpful and kind, the 2nd morning already know what your preference was the day before, printed bus timetable to the Zoo and were at disposal whenever needed. The property itself is not an attractive one, but the room is clean and for a short stay it worth to book this hotel. Kosice is amazing city, you will be compensated by the disadvantages of the hotel if you have your first walk in the downtown.

Downsides -Can only check in after 2pm meaning we had to carry our suitcases around the zoo for the whole morning.
- Asked for a double room and we got two singles so had to push them together.
Positives - Excellent service
- hotel decor was nice
- good looking bathroom
- breakfast was light but filling
Would recommend it to others as it was a few minutes walk from the centre and train station. Were very good English speakers also!

. The internet site says that the hotel is after modernization. Watch out - hotel's main picture has been treated with photo-shop. There hasn't been any reparation during recent 40 years. The hotel is dirty, depressing and simply stinks. Restaurant and bar don't work at all however they are advertised at the web site. If you come without your own sandwiches you will simply starve. Rooms were furnished in the end of sixties, including carpets most probably. The entrance looks poor and simply demolished. When I entered the reception I decided to inspect a double room and it was simply unacceptable. Then I inspected a suite. It was the same ruined. Finally I left the hotel and moved to a hotel belonging to one of big international chain. Leaving Alessandra I was about to slam the door.
