The staff was really friendly, willing to fulfill every wish, nothing was a problem.

I had a lovely single room upstairs with very comfy bed, sparkling clean and quiet. Fridge, kettle, both a radiator and an aircon, nice view from the skylight vindow.

The building is in the very center of the city, just a few steps from the main street.

Do not miss their lovely breakfast. All the meals in the restaurant were very tasty and reasonably priced.

Free wifi working smoothly everywhere.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms are small but tastefully furnished, as is the restaurant and the entire hotel premises. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean. Great breakfast. We had the opportunity to store our luggage before the room was ready. The staff was very nice, we felt welcome. I recommend 100%.

This is a lovely rustic hotel with an authentic feel. Staff are brilliant. The location is epic. Thank you so much for all the help and I lovely stay. The room we stayed in was a great size well priced and had a sea as well. The breakfast was really lovely too A good selection of hot and cold foods. And the coffee is a good as well.

The staff are lovely, and so helpful during our stay To make sure we found a home. I’ve been here many times before, and is my first time in six years. It’s really lovely thank you for your help

An authentic taste of Slovakia - definitely the right place to stay on a weekend away vs a soulless chain hotel.

Clean comfortable bedroom and a decent hot shower!

Overall it was excellent value, the breakfasts generous and the staff all very friendly and helpful.

We've had a lunch at Villa Regia restaurant. The place itself is very beautiful with a lot of character, the service was very good, but the food was a bit disappointing. We've had a couple of soups (garlic soup and teaditiobal Slovak macanka), couple of starters and 2 mains. Out of 6 dishes only one of the starters (cheese with local pickles) was worth a try. Others were not particularly attractive to put it mild. In terms of a food the place is not more than 3 stars but atmosphere and the service make up for it a bit. Wouldn't recommend.

Our room was two floors and had 2 great skylight windows that we were able to open. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and spoke fluent english so we had no issues with communication. The breakfast was delicious. The bed, however, was extremely hard -- but we didn't allow that to interfere with our great stay in Kosice! The location was perfect as it was close to all the action in the City centre without being on the main road -- nice and quiet. The operators are energy conscious and have auto-shutoff lights in the main hall way. We ran into an issue that coming out of our room #1 you had to go half-way down the main stairs to get the motion detector to turn on. We brought this to the attention of staff and they agreed that it needed to be corrected.

Spent a few days in Kosice with my partner who is of Slovakian origin. What a find. Smack bang in the city centre. Friendly staff from start to finish. Our room was small, but to be expected due to the building. In fact we both said we preferred this to the normal modern hotels. Food and wine were excellent, and value for money. If we return to Kosice, we will book here again.

We stayed just for one night and also ate in the restaurant. We have been coming to Kosice for a few years now and have eaten and stayed in a number of places. There is better food to be eaten (just) and smarter hotels for a night's sleep - BUT - the Villa Regia combined both into a home-from-home package.
Everything about the building is stunning and it's amazing how warm the place feels - I mean both in terms of heat and they way we were greeted and treated. The food was a real treat - try the duck liver starter! - and our room was on two levels and spacious. There is something "family" about the bar and restaurant which is one of the most welcoming I've been to - particularly in Slovakia.
This is a great place if you are passing through, and just about perfectly located if you want to wander around Kosice as a leisurely tourist.
Great stuff - and thanks.

We will be driving from Budapest. is there car parking available? Regards Margareta
Answer from martin gray
St Helens, United Kingdom55 contributions42 helpful votes
There is a car park across the road with approx 5 spaces reserved for the hotel guests. However, we have found that sometimes these spaces are taken by non hotel guests. What we had to do on one occasion, was to park in the road further away, then return to park our car. We have also stayed at the Hilton which has indoor private parking.
