This is a lovely rustic hotel with an authentic feel. Staff are brilliant. The location is epic. Thank you so much for all the help and I lovely stay. The room we stayed in was a great size well priced and had a sea as well. The breakfast was really lovely too A good selection of hot and cold foods. And the coffee is a good as well. The staff are lovely, and so helpful during our stay To make sure we found a home. I’ve been here many times before, and is my first time in six years. It’s really lovely thank you for your help
Beautiful old building. Would have liked to know more about its history. The room was clean, the shower had good water pressure and the bed was comfortable. The AC cooled the room quickly. There was a market outside the hotel on Saturday morning with fruits and vegetables. This stay could have easily been an average rating. It could have been just been another place we stayed. Only "One" person took the time to acknowledge the importance of guests staying at the property. The only person that spoke to us during our visit was Rebeka. Without Rebeka providing service for everything from check-in, breakfast and check-out, I would have given it an average rating. I hope the owners realize how much she enhances their business. She is the "face" of their business and truly cares about providing excellent service. Villa Regia Pension is average, Rebeka is exceptional.…
A nice place and atmosphere of traditional Slovak food, great service decent priced for what they offer, so much to choose from. A diamond in the rough, you have to locate it among the town square but ask anyone where it is..Worth the find.
We stayed here during the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships, the property was only a 10 minute walk from the Steel Arena and a couple of minutes from the main street. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the food in the restaurant was really nice (especially the ribs!) Extremely clean and quirky rooms.
Stayed here in July...great location - convenient walking distance to the main square... farmers market right outside the door-all the fresh fruits and vegetables imaginable ....nice rooms...excellent restaurant....spectacular breakfast...Tomas makes the best cup of Expresso in Slovakia!
We've had a lunch at Villa Regia restaurant. The place itself is very beautiful with a lot of character, the service was very good, but the food was a bit disappointing. We've had a couple of soups (garlic soup and teaditiobal Slovak macanka), couple of starters and 2 mains. Out of 6 dishes only one of the starters (cheese with local pickles) was worth a try. Others were not particularly attractive to put it mild. In terms of a food the place is not more than 3 stars but atmosphere and the service make up for it a bit. Wouldn't recommend.
We arrived at 2pm on a very snowing day, The place was nice and warm, we had very nice raditional soup, I would definitely recommend this place. The place looks very authentic and the rooms are nice and cozy
We loved it here. We wanted a more historic hotel with lots of character and Villa Regia was perfect. Location was perfect and parking (pay lot) was easy. The staff was warm and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic with your eggs/sausage made to order and plentiful breads, croissants, and coffee. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was some of the best Slovak cuisines we had while traveling here. Our room was up three flights of stairs. It wasn't a problem for us, but it would be challenging if you had mobility problems.
Our room was two floors and had 2 great skylight windows that we were able to open. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and spoke fluent english so we had no issues with communication. The breakfast was delicious. The bed, however, was extremely hard -- but we didn't allow that to interfere with our great stay in Kosice! The location was perfect as it was close to all the action in the City centre without being on the main road -- nice and quiet. The operators are energy conscious and have auto-shutoff lights in the main hall way. We ran into an issue that coming out of our room #1 you had to go half-way down the main stairs to get the motion detector to turn on. We brought this to the attention of staff and they agreed that it needed to be corrected.…
