So the botel is great. The views are awesome. Ask for a river view when checking in. The breakfast was simple but sufficient. Only negatives are 15 minute walk to the city centre and the room is a tad dated, although it is in keeping with the style of the boat. This is an ideal place to stay if you are going to spend most of your day exploring the city and need a comfortable, quiet bed and a decent breakfast each morning and your up for walking (the walk is 15 minutes but beautiful)

It is a hotel on a boat.. Do not expect huge rooms or a hot tub. The rooms were clean although slightly dated. The botel is a walking distance from the city centre but of course there are more central options if you do not like walking. We have chosen this hotel due to the quirky factor and we were not disappointed. The breakfast buffet was better than expected and even vegetarians had options to choose from. And the views of the castle and the UFO tower were great. It is not a high class hotel but a very good experiences

The room was pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast was good and they offer other meals as well. It has a nice view. It is not in the center but it is easy accessible by public transportation. It was a good stay and a different experience staying on a boat.

The rooms were a good size but it was hot. No air conditioning and only a small fan. Bedding was shabby with very hard uncomfortable bed and little to no pillows.
Shower was a good size with great water pressure. Were not informed by staff that there was a lift and carried heavy bags downstairs.
Breakfast had very little choice.

We stayed from 07/09/18-10/09/18.Those three nights we stayed our room was not cleaned, bed was not made, bins were not emptied. We complained on 09/09 to the receptions who was there in the morning and she said that she will sort it out.By evening when we came the room was as the way we left it. We had to request for clean towels. We were leaving early on 10/09 at 04.30am. So we went at the reception rang the bell for almost ten minutes, no one answered,on looking at the other guest lounge the reception was fast asleep on the coach. We left the key on the desk and left to the Airport. My question is where is the security for vulnerable guest who were fast asleep and the receptionist who is suppose to Mann the door was fast asleep.?
I don’t think we will ever come back to this hotel .

This is great be awakened by the cries of seagulls and not by urban noise in centre of metropole.
What's better than seeing the beautiful sights of Bratislava? Probably seeing these sights by night :) Night view of Danube river from our temporary home in Bratislava Botel Pressbourg was amazing. Will be missing :-(

As the most of us do, before visiting Bratislava and book a hotel, we searched through many different hotels and botels, in order to find an affordable but also nice hotel.

From the beginning Pressburg attracted our attention. Maybe it was the fact that we have never stayed in a botel before, maybe it was that its rooms seemed rather larger in compare to others nearby botels, at that price. And therefore, before we booked, we 've read almost all the comments.
I have to confess that we were a little worried since we read some comments like "they didn't cleaned the room" or "staff was unfriendly" but we decided to give it a try and we didn't regret it.
By no means i don't say to not pay attention to all comments or that Pressburg was the best hotel i ever spent my vacation in my life BUT you should take into consideration that people in other places and cultures might behave differently than we are used to.

Yes or even better -maybe- since i want to be absolutely fair to all-, maybe it's a fact that a lot of people that work in the tourist industry of Bratislava, especially the younger ones, are treating tourists and visitors with cold smiles and faces (at the best case scenario) or even worse with rudeness (at most cases). Spending a whole week, we managed to visit so many different bistros, restaurants and tourist attractions and we concluded that it wasn't something personal against us. It is what it is and maybe it's the cultural differences that make us feel like that way.

Another similar thing i wish to warn you about is that if you wish to have your room cleaned you must leave the door note, otherwise it wont. Someone would argue "but that's how its done" but maybe you are used to hotels service from other places, such as Greece, where rooms are cleaned automatically every one or three days, without leaving the door note.
Similarly in order to have your towels changed, you have to point out that you wish to have them changed and NOT hang them carefully in the bathroom. Just leave them down so it is pointed out that you wish them to be changed.

Breakfast is rather nice and adequate with decent variety. Similarly to previous, if you wish to eat or drink something that has ended, just ask it :)

To conlude i must point out the great location of Presburg and its amazing view. Just 15 minutes away on foot from the old town center, with the wonderful view of Danube and the "UFO" bridge will surely give you unforgettable and relaxing moments.

Pros:
-Its position (Nearest Bus and Tram station is 1 minute away, old town center 15 minutes on foot)
-Its view (if you are lucky enough and there are rooms available with a view to the river you wont forget it)
-Room size (rooms are not small and you wont feel "trapped")
-Cleanliness (Main room, bathrooms but also halls and restaurant were all very clean and nice)
-Price (i believe prices are affordable to most)
-Wifi (excellent signal and speed)
-Temperature (at the beginning of winter we were very cozy and warm in our room throughout day and night.

Cons:
-some minor incidents with behaviour but nothing particular. As i said before, we felt a little unwelcomed by people in many cases during our 7-days visit in Bratislava but still we had a wonderfull time.
-lack of hair dryers. if you really need a hair dryer you better bring one with you since there are not many spare ones available to reception.

Don't miss the chance to stay at one very cozy and affordable botel. I believe you won't regret it and you will have a wonderful time.

Stayed here on our recent visit to Bratislava. The idea of staying on a boat on the Danube was very appealing.

It is just a short walk along the banks of the river to the OldTown, or a 2 minute tram ride, so is ideally situated. Our room was clean and pleasantly decorated. The beds were comfortable (although it was two single beds pushed together instead of a proper double bed). It was also very pleasing to awake to the sound of the river every morning
There was a mini fridge and wine glasses but no coffee making facilities.

I would like to have explored the boat some more, but Bratislava (and a day trip to Vienna) meant there just wasn't enough time.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Situated just a few hundred metres further upstream from the Castle on the cliff above this (presumably retired) river cruiser offers comfortable, clean accommodation, charming staff, and a high quality restaurant with views across to the opposite tree- lined bank of the Danube or downstream towards the UFO Tower on the bridge. The bus/ tram stop is directly outside and it is only a ten minute walk along the river to the old town (Stare Mesto) All the staff we met spoke varying amounts of English and all were friendly and helpful. The cabins are well presented and include easy chairs; the bathroom is small with a shower, fluffy towels, flannels and essential toiletries provided. Beds were very comfortable. There is a public seating area at the front of the boat looking upstream. There is currently a lot of building work on the far side of the road from the mooring but this did not impinge on our enjoyment. Recommend that you ask the hotel to arrange airport taxi for you as we paid 8 times as much grabbing a taxi on arrival ourselves.

We took 2 twins for 4 of us. The rooms were not very large and it was rather hot inside since they didn't have an air condition. One room was facing the river and the sight was very nice, as if we were taking a cruise.

The breakfast was very fine and the lady was very helpful. My son loved the dinner at the restaurant on the top. It gave you a real "vacation feeling" seeing the sinking sun at the Danube.

To the old town and to the castle you can walk easily and to Devin castle the bus stops were also very nearby.

We loved our stay at Botel Pressburg!

Where is car parking and how much it costs a day
Answer from botelpressburg
Dear guest, Parking is in a public garage in the building named River Park Hotel on level – 1. Address for River Park: Dvořákovo nábrežie 4-10. After parking in River park, take a lift to level 0 and then walk 2 minutes to get to botel, which is along the waterfront of the river Danube. The price is 5 Eur/day. At check out at reception we will give you a parking ticket to leave garage. Best regards Lenka Šebelová reception
