Great little, classic style hotel. It has an old world feel, yet with modern touches and was very comfortable. It felts quite grand walking into the airy atrium, and we were greeted with friendly smiles and assistance. Car parking was a breeze with the hotel's valet, and the staff were helpful, particularly in the face of the ensuing coronavirus issues.
The room was also grand, with classy furnishings, being both comfortable and stylish. I had everything I needed, wifi was good, bed was comfortable, and the shower was sufficiently large. Breakfast was also tasty in the morning, with a good number of hot and cold selections.
The hotel location is right in the old town, just a few minutes walk to anywhere, including pubs, restaurants, shops and more.
A great hotel and a wonderful stay. I'd definitely stay here again.

The Arcadia is a true boutique hotel experience; a real gem of a place located in a quiet street in the upper part of the old town but still only a few minutes’ walk from the River Danube and all the architectural splendours and restaurants of Bratislava old town. Particularly during the Christmas/New Year period when we stayed, old town Bratislava is quite simply a beautiful place to be; with its street markets, festive trees and exquisite lighting.
From our own experience there is absolutely nothing to fault with the Arcadia. The main interior design reminded us of a Moroccan Riad with views from all three floors over the central ground floor lobby area. The bedrooms (at least ours) were large, extremely comfortable, exceptionally clean and decorated/furnished to a very high standard with quite possibly one of the best bathrooms we’ve ever experienced. Breakfast is buffet-style set out in a charming dining area with plentiful supplies of both hot and cold to choose from. Excellent. Most of all, the management and every single member of staff were polite, helpful and exceptionally professional. Could not be faulted in any way. Our thanks to you all.

We stayed here for 1 night in January and had a wonderful time. The hotel is located directly in the Old town on a windy cobbled road, ideal as a base for sightseeing. It's about a 5 minute Uber ride from the train station, but we walked and it took about 25 minutes. Breakfast was outstanding - thousands of choices hot & cold, and delicious coffee. The rooms are beautiful, with many of the old original features like beams in the ceilings, but spotlessly clean and warm (even in January when it was bitter cold outside). But what was most memorable were the staff - they were incredibly helpful, friendly, genuine and caring. We were very lucky to stay at this hotel and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bratislava!

My wife and I stayed for two nights on the way from Vienna to Budapest. This hotel was one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel itself is wonderful, from the sunlit atrium to the comfy library to the delicious breakfasts. Its location along picturesque cobbled streets, close to the main square and St. Michael's Tower, makes it convenient to all the Old Town sites.

We received a coupon for a free glass of wine in the library when we arrived and we took advantage of it before dinner. The breakfasts were tasty and enough to stave us over to dinner (and the breakfast room is in the ancient cellars).

Not to mention the price! This hotel would easily be twice the price in Vienna or Budapest. The Arcadia was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

This lovely little gem of a hotel was originally a 13th century Franciscan church and monastery. So think stone walls, vaulted ceilings and arched porticos with a courtyard that now serves as the hotel lobby. The lovely rooms, situated around the perimeter, offer comfortable beds and modern amenities. Breakfast is a full spread served in one of the ground floor rooms with a vaulted ceiling. In the evening drinks are available in the cozy library (complimentary on your first night). Staff are most welcoming and helpful. While we were there Kristina was our receptionist and Pavel and Joseph were the doormen. All were exceptional in arranging for taxis, showing us around town and suggesting points of interest. Located on the edge of the historic town center, the hotel is the perfect spot to explore Bratislava and enjoy its heritage.

Fantastic stay in Bratislava and the Arcadia Boutique hotel.

What a fantastic hotel, Martin on reception was very welcoming, Pavlor really helpful and informative, he went out of his way to provide us with information regarding our day trip to Vienna, we were very appreciative and thought this very kind and the ladies at Breakfast were very friendly and worked hard to keep everything replenished.

The hotel offers everything, the location is fantastic the feel and atmosphere of the actual building just perfect.

Such a beautiful breakfast far exceeded our expectations, so much effort and detail, if we had one VERY tiny criticism it would be the food in the silver platters could be warmer, particularly the baked beans, but everything provided and on offer was exceptional.

We stayed in room 9 which was absolutely perfect very big bathroom with shower and a separate bath, kettle, hair dryer and FREE safety deposit box which was fantastic. Bed very big and very comfortable.

The location of the hotel was incredible, 2 mins walk from Tram Number 1 which we caught from the train station on our arrival, just around the corner from the main square and so close to everything, lovely bars, cafes & restaurants we couldn’t ask for more.

We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay again one day!

Having booked this hotel for a 7 night stay almost 3 years ago to coincide with a concert in Vienna we finally got to use our booking. Each year due to covid the concert got postponed and the hotel moved the booking with no questions at all.

We had booked a 'Delux double room' which was beautiful, at the front of the building which looked at the church opposite.

The room was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows, the bathroom was of a good size with plenty of towels and toiletries. The only thing I'd say is the air-conditioning didn't seem to work, it didn't turn off, up or down, but as we had a big window we could open this was OK.

The breakfast was included in the price with plenty of options each day and the waitresses, waiters were very friendly and polite, as were the reception staff and the concierge.

We did use the spa which cost 49€ for 1.5 hours, it is very relaxing with sauna, cold pool etc, however the steamroom wasn't working.

We also used a airport car booked via the hotel from Vienna Airport, this cost 79€ and takes around 40mins. There is a bus from the airport which is much cheaper but when it's +33° outside an air-conditioned vehicle is much more appealing.

The location is amazing, you are right in the old Square as soon as you step out of the door with over 30 places to eat within a 10min walk.

Overall this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in and would reccomend it for it's facilities, location and staff friendliness.

The hotel is located in a quiet street in the old town, a short walk to all attractions. It has an impressive foyer and welcoming, helpful reception staff, namely Martin & Daniel.

Due to Covid (April 2022), the hotel does not provide a daily room cleaning service. So asking for toilet paper, replacement toiletries, refills of tea/coffee/milk does rather detract from the pamper effect of staying in a lovely boutique hotel.

The room was a very spacious duplex on the 3rd floor, with the bedroom upstairs and duplex windows, but no view to speak of. We weren't advised beforehand of the stairs to the bedroom which were polished wood and rather slippy. A bit of a concern if you had to go down to the loo during the night.

The exclusive use of the wellness centre was extremely welcome and a very relaxing zen space. Unfortunately the steam room was out of order.

The breakfast buffet contained a good selection of hot and cold foods, but on a busy morning, some foods had run out and not replenished.

I understand the tv system has recently been upgraded, but perhaps brief instructions should be available within the welcome pack listing the channels available, how to use netflix, how the remote works and how to change the language on the tv.

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return.

Pros: excellent location, large breakfast in a charming dining room, quiet at night.

Cons: I could not believe the room they gave us- it was practically a monastic cell. I specifically booked this slightly expensive hotel because of the (wildly untrue) pictures on their website. I booked the room with a stone wall because I like old architecture. Instead they gave us some kind of tiny dark room which had absolutely nothing to do with the picture on the website. No charming details, no light, no stone wall, no sign of antique charm… (except for the ceiling beams.)

I politely inquired about the discrepancy in my reservation and they told me the hotel was full so I couldn’t change rooms. Case closed. What a massive disappointment.

(Also the bathtub is much smaller than in the pictures, and there was no bathrobe or slippers in the room. And the mattress and pillows are hard as rocks. Would it kill them to get feather pillows or synthetic feather pillows? At the prices they're charging these details are unacceptable.)

Beware- if you book here who knows what kind of room you’ll get.

They should write a disclaimer on the website that the pictures might not match what you are booking. Or take a picture of every room. Or send you a picture of your room that you're booking so you have the option to cancel it in advance. I would have booked a less expensive hotel if I knew I'd be staying in a dark little room with rock pillows.

Dear Laura, Firstly we would like to thank you for taking the time to review your stay, we are truly sorry your stay was disappointing. As we advise on our website we are a small boutique hotel, transformed from a medieval bulding that offers truly unique rooms - there are not two rooms the same, which is why you did not have the exact room as was on the picture. As the hotel was fully occupied it was not possible to change the rooms or upgrade you to a different category. As the sigh in the room states, bathrobes and slippers can be brought to the room free of charge upon request. Our pillows are changed regularly, unfortunately it is not possible to accommodate the needs of all guests with different pillow prefferences and we are sincerely sorry you were not satisfied. We anyway hope you will give us another chance in the future to prove our high levels of service and customer satisfaction. Best regards, Your Arcadia Team

If you want to enjoy Bratislavas old town while remaining in close walking proximity to the new -- there is no better place than the Arcadia. This 19 room gem, crafter out of a late medieval building is true to its architectural origins while being very modern in terms of its creature comforts. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is outstanding, made you your order and served at your table. the hotel is very quiet and located on a quiet but lovely little street around the corner from the central and more bustling parts of the old town.

Dear guest, thank you very much for your request. During your stay you can relax in our Arcadia boutique Spa. The spa does not take up a large space and thanks to two saunas, warm humidity has settled in the air. However, it is breath-taking. Cool down in a plunge pool built from the original well. The oasis of peace can then be found in the private Jacuzzi with always clean water. The fitness center is for free for all hotel guests from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Arcadia Boutique Spa is on request for hotel guests and is subject to availability. We offer a discount of 20 EUR for each package for our hotel guests and can be purchased with accommodation ( Junior suite and Romantic suite ) or directly at the hotel reception. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Packages and prices you can find on our web page. Looking forward to see you soon. With best regards, YOUR ARCADIA TEAM
