Stayed for two nights, small room with dirty carpet, bathroom was a bit smelly but ok. Receptionist and waitress were friendly. The hotel bar is also the breakfast room. Unfortunately, due to the fact that smoking is allowed in the bar in the afternoon, you can still smell the old & cold smoke the next morning. Buffet is ok, choice is sufficient. Location is great, 15min walk to downtown.
Check in was really easy and staff were all so friendly throughout our stay. The hotel has got its own special design On the walls you can find some photos of actors mine was Richard Geer :) 20 mins away from the city center , tram station 2 mins away , simple and delicious morning breakfast , good value for money
My friend and I stayed for 4 nights. Our first impressions were that the decor was tired and in need of a refurb. Otherwise we could not complain. The weather was extremely hot and it was wonderful to have an air conditioning unit in the bedroom. The room was clean and beds comfortable. We were on the second floor at the back of the hotel. Shame no lift but not a problem. It was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was good. Typically continental, cold meats, cheeses etc. No need to go hungry. Friendly, helpful staff. Plus easy access to the old town, only a short stroll away. We were very happy with our choice of hotel and would stay again.
The hotel has got its own special climate. The rooms are dedicated to some movie stars. On the walls you can find some photos of actors. The bathroom was really spacious. Staff was nice and helpful. What is the best about the hotel is its localization - really close to the historical center. However it needs a small renovation, still it is a good idea to stay there for few nights.
Very friendly staff, room has a good size and was clean, ok it needs here and there a bit of love but on the other hand it makes it charming, the breakfast for 5.50 Euros was more than I expected, fried eggs, sausage and beans , different cheeses and sausages jam nutella peanut butter.... 4 different kind of cereals... very close to the centre of old town. Only con the mattress are rock hard
Hotel is situated very close to the city center, near a commercial street with many shops, fast food restaurants and clubs. Going out at night, the feeling was lively since a lot of young people were in the street. Hotel staff was polite and friendly. Good breakfast. Our double room was on a upper floor - the hotel has no lift and stairs were quite steep - and overlooked the inner courtyard of an old apartment building. Torn sheets and window curtains as well as missing floorboards that you could feel through the carpet did not improve our opinion. Clean and spacious bathroom. Our paid parking space was on the street, right in front of the hotel. All in all, average rooms at a great price for the location.
We stood there for just one night and we diced to come back again, because is situated so close to the center, everything is reachable with footwalk within a few minutes. We asked to reserve a place for carparking - well organized :)
Location is fantastic, few meters to tram station and hundreds of meters to old town. Staff also very friendly and breakfast was good too. Bathrooms were recently renovated. Some rooms (including ours Room # 3) were outside on 1st floor so look bit outside.
We stayed in room 6, as per another review the room set up was such that to get to the bathroom you had to go through one bedroom and then past another bedroom with no door. Those rooms were extremely hot and only had one fan between then making it difficult to sleep. There was air con in the main living area where the other bed was was not man enough. The apartment itself was very clean. We did not cook in there. We had breakfast, basic but ok to start the day. Check in was easy, one of our sons arrived first. No lift and wooden stairs so beware if you have heavy suitcases. We left our luggage in reception after we checked out. Was annoyed that when we returned for our luggage that we were not allowed to use the toilet which had been situated in the breakfast room. This was locked up.…
We stayed in this hotel for two nights. It was very warm in Bratislava during our stay and the AC in our room was an old model that did not function properly.Sleeping at night was not a pleasant experience. The room we were allocated was at first floor level and looked like a recently upgraded facility. There is no lift in the hotel.A member of our group had to carry a heavy suitcase up a wooden staircase to the third floor level. A positive feature of this place was a very friendly and helpful receptionist who went out of her way to make our visit as pleasant as possible.
