The positives were the confort of the room and cleanliness. However, the room overlooked the street, so there was a bit of noise during the night. The service was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. Reception is not open 24/7 even though it says so at time of booking. The hotel is situated inside a shopping mall, so breakfast is taken in a tiny room between a hairdressers and clothes shop. Avoid breakfast, as there is no choice and comes in a plastic tray.

Lovely modern hotel with good sized room, comfortable beds and very clean. It is centrally located within minutes walk of the major tourist spots. We enjoyed our stay and do not be put off by the entrance being via a small shopping centre, it is fine, easy to navigate, secure and safe.

Hotel check in was different, inside a shopping mall.
Anyway that overlooked the room we had was a large room, huge with windows on two sides of the room covering the entire walls. We also had a balcony outside I presume for smoking or something as there was also a table and an ashtray.

The Room was clean, extremely spacious and comfortable.
There was heating above the bed and in the floor, reception is far away if you need milk or extra teabags... and there were no milk or coffee provided in the room anyway which isn't good for a coffee drinker si I went to buy my own.

The bathroom has a telephone in it? Not sure why and the large bed has leather straps above the bed, not sure why either... Any ideas?

Check-In was simple and check out was simple too.
I'd stay here again as it's a very central location. The hotel states it has parking but it does not. The rate is about Euro 25 for 14 hours parking which is pricey.

Suited to adults I'd say not families.

Do not book this hotel! They advertise that they have a fitness they do not! You can buy vouchers with them for the fitness across the street. When you tell them that they are advertising on Expedia that they have fitness facilities they say we never said it was free! Be aware of this misleading advertisement! I’ve never had hotel before that you need to pay for using the fitness when they advertise that they have the facilities! There are much better hotels for cheaper or the same prices. The carpets in the rooms are really dirty as well and the rooms are really noisy so be aware of a lot of street noise. The hairdryer in the bathroom was so dirty I didn’t dare to use it. The rooms are way to hot even in winter. Breakfast is not worth it. I would not recommend this hotel and wish we would not have booked it.

Art William hotel is located on a pedestrianised street at the edge of the old town. It is ideally situated for to explore Bratislava. On arrival, check in was hassle free and we were allocated our room (312). The hotel itself is situated on the 2nd floor in a quiet shopping centre. Entrance to the centre could do with additional signage highlighting the hotel in there. The room was pleasant and had kettle, TV, hair dryer and a good sized bathroom. The bed is 2 single beds pulled together but very comfortable. Rooms have black out curtains and our room was quiet in its surrounds. The breakfast is just average, a mixture of hot and cold breakfast but the hot food could have been warmer and the breakfast area felt disjointed from the hotel. The biggest plus for this hotel is the great location. Staff are friendly and professional. One little note is to provide coffee to the tray in the bedroom. Hotel is close to lidl to pick up any extras and is a short walking distance to some great restaurants and pubs. We stayed for 2 nights with 4 other couples and we were all happy with our stay. Many thanks for a welcome stay in Bratislava.

Hotel located in the center. Staying in this hotel allows you to be a stone's throw from the center. Very clean and very friendly and helpful staff. I requested a late check out and was satisfied. I will definitely go back

Good hotel. Stayed here for two nights whilst watching my team play in The Champions League. Easy check in, rooms were big and clean. Tea & coffee in room, mini-bar. Free WiFi was good. Breakfast included - good range of continental choices. Location of hotel is good for The Old town.

This is a fairly new hotel (opened November 2006) and the rooms are top class with very modern fixures and fittings -flat screen TV, courtesy dressing gowns etc. The bathrooms are particularly stunning. Compared to UK hotels I would say this is 5 star standard, however the price was excellent . We booked directly with the hotel and paid 494 Euros for 4 nights (about £338). It actually doesn't feel like a hotel as the reception is sited in a high class shopping mall (Armani etc). Although there is a restaurant, there is no bar area so there are no social areas within the hotel - if that is what you are looking for.
Breakfast was included and was fairly typical continental style with a few hot items - eggs etc.
The hotel is however ideally sited in the old town and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within the immediate vicinity. I would highly recommend the Italian 2 or 3 doors up from the hotel and the Butterfly restaurant further down Laurinska. Wherever you eat and drink in Bratislavia it is very cheap compared to the UK. All in all an excellent stay - would recommend the hotel, particularly for couples and would definately visit Bratislavia again.

My husband and I stayed at the Art Hotel William for three nights. We were very pleased with the size of the room, which included a large plasma TV, a comfortable king size bed and a good size bathroom. The decor was modern and stylish and the room was very clean. We were suprised that the hotel was located within a very upscale mall filled with boutiques such as La Perla, Armani and Rock & Republic. The hotel was centrally located and we found that we were in walking distance of the castle and the churches. I would definitely stay here again.

No. You will make your own travel arrangements. By car/taxi it is 19 min (9.5 km) via Route 63. I am sure the tourist price will be about €20.

The 3 times I have stayed here there has always been a kettle however, there was never the full selection of coffee, tea and milk. As I write this I have just had a black coffee because there was no sugar or milk. Very frustrating for what they charge.
