I chose Hotel SET from AGODA because it offered promotion rate on the day I booked and location was also "excellent" or something but I didn't enjoy the location.
It is not located in city center. You have to take bus #39 to get to old town from hotel. Frequency is every 20 minutes and probably 5 (or so) bus stops ride. The location of hotel is behind hockely studium. Also near Double Tree by Hilton hotel. If you take taxi, you can mention that to driver.
My priority to choose hotel is location, so I should have checked the location more carefully.
When you look at building of hotel set, you might be a bit upset because it looks a bit old but inside of the hotel is maintained very well. ( Espcially room & dining area) I stayed in single room, which is spacey enough and very clean. I enjoyed it pretty much.
Breakfast is not included, which was the plan I chose. If you want to have breakfast at hotel, it is available for 10 euro. The buffet looks really nice. I think it is worth it.
I visited Brastilava around new year and hocky studium was closed. There are some bar&cafes in the studium but all closed. Other than that, there is nothing nearby. You might want to book the room with breakfast. There is a big super market if you walk 7-10 minutes, though. It is good to have nearby.
You can expect in the room - safe, stable wifi, patio,iron board,hair dryer.TV, towel,linen, AC.
However, there is no electric kettle, hence you can't have coffee/tea even if you bring it with you.

I was very satisfied with huge, clean bathroom, perfect location and good price. Hotel is only five bus stops from main railway station and it is only 3 minutes walk to Ice-hockey stadium. This was a perfect choice for me.

Excellent hotel. Breakfast could be more different from day to day. Friendly staff. Good located to all sport facilities near by. Dayly room service. I will come back. 400m to tram and bus station. Arena Ondreja Nepalu just 300m away.

Hotel certainly not cheaper than others. On the contrary.... Difficulty communicating in English. The room was nothing special, even if it was clean. The window overlooking the terrace (last cleaned last century) does not close. Traffic noise comes in as well as rain. On the other hand, water comes out onto the bathroom floor from the shower cubicle, which is also broken. The shower tray does not drain, and after 1 minute of showering the water reaches my ankles. The hairdryer doesn't work. We had asked for a third pillow for our daughter, who as the only solution could sleep with us in the double bed. It was not provided to us. To our complaints, in the morning, a nice shrug of the shoulders and an I don't understand.... P.S. from 10 pm in the hotel it is not possible to interact with anyone.

The highlight of our stay to Bratislava was the room! It was a suite but I didn’t expect it to be as nice as it was, it even had tho bathrooms. Nearby are many restaurantes and mini markets, and a nice park at a walking distance. If I go back to the city, I’m definitely staying at this hotel again.

Location and staff could not have been better. Will be there again. The breakfast was excellent and the park next door was a great place to jog. I only read English and did not understand that street parking was not for overnight so that should be made clear to future guests.

Upon searching online for a hotel in Bratislava city- very few offered a breakfast in the price. Not only did the Hotel Set offer breakfast- a waiter brought it to my room every morning- after I had ticked the menu & placed it on the room handle. The menu was continental ; cereal, bread, coffee, juices & fruit & very tasty. The receptionist told me that I could have a full breakfast with meats in the breakfast room for an extra fee. The Set Hotel is advertised as being a '4 star' hotel which may be correct for Bratislava hotels but I would say it is nearer a 3 star rating. No complaints about the clean room (photo below) which included a mini bar filled with alcohol, peanuts & crisps. The wifi was free & a solid signal. The price I paid via an online booking site was around £33 a night & good value. Tram 4 takes you to the tourist area/old town in 10 mins & the bus 61 from the airport stops within 10 mins walking distance to the hotel (zimny stadion). I told the manager-upon leaving- that I would leave a review on TA as I was generally pleased with my stay AND the great breakfast service. (( I was the guy in a rush for the airport -& just about caught my flight !))

Hotel Set was a great hotel to stay in - it is rated three star but the rooms were of a standard I would expect from a four star hotel. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast excellent, and overall I got the impression that staff were eager to make hotel guests feel welcome and that no request is too much trouble.
The hotel is not in Bratislava's old town but easily accessible by tram and taxis into town are quite cheap also.

We stayed here just one night because we were seeing a concert at the Ondrej Nepela Arena.
The hotel is not far from the tram that brings you in from the city. The hotel is opposite the Ondrej Nepela Arena. It is an ok hotel and the staff were very friendly.....even ordering a pizza for us at 1am in the morning.
Would recommend this hotel if you need to visit Ondrej Nepela Arena but maybe not if you wanna do sightseeing in the city. Its about 15 mins with the tram.
We would stay here again.

Pool will be open but I need to correct the information our Hotel SET do not have pool. The Pool close by is public pool and you can use it as you wish. If you take accommodation in our hotel you are welcome to use the option store your suitcase in hotel after checkout.
There are more places to choose from in the Bratislava area.
