Nice looking hotel (at least from the outside) and only a short walk to the city centre. The rooms were a bit dated, but at least they were clean. Overall, it was an ok stay for two nights. The hotel had various amenities but we didn't try any.

We had a very nice time at the Crown Plaza. The location is perfect for exploring Bratislava's old historic city center. You are a few minutes walk to all the major tourist sites, including the Castle, Michaels Gate, UFO Bridge, and the rest of the City Center. The lady that helped us at the front desk was extremely helpful and happy to give us recommendations for our trip. We were given a city map, restaurant recommendations, and they even let us use international charging adapters to charge our phones! The hotel is one stop away by bus from Bratislava Main Train station. Across the street from the Presidential Palace. Super easy, and a great location for exploring Bratislava.

Great location and helpful staff. But the duvet on the king size bed was far too small and did not even cover the bed. The result my husband froze ! The volume on the TV was set so low, that my husband who is slightly hard of hearing could not hear it. We requested some extra coffee sachets which we got - then bizarrely the next day they were all taken away but the milk was left.

Nice and clean. Okay breakfast buffet and smiling and friendly staff. Looks are a bit 60’ but prize is fair for a central hotel. Would use it another time. Eastern Europe hotel with plenty but not very effective staff, but its normal in the side of Europe, so it has its charm

We stayed at this hotel during our city-break in Bratislava, this October. I must say that we have been quite impressed, we have never stayed at an IHG hotel before, so did not know what to expect there. Although this seems to be a rather old building, it has been nicely and professionally refurbished, the colour palette is very soothing, the ambient smell is awesome, the reception staff spoke very good English, were most kind and helpful, they really know how to make you feel welcome. Professionalism seemed to come easily to them. I noticed they took pride in the cleanliness standard and I must say that they live up to this mission statement indeed: it was sooooo clean, the apartment was spotless upon arrival, all surfaces shining and perfectly prepared for the guests. We booked the 4th floor apartment for our getaway and the view was unexpected: directly to the Presidential Palace, what more can you wish for? Double vanity sink, tub and toilet in the bedroom's bathroom, and walk-in shower, single sink and toilet in the other bathroom pertaining to the living room and the mudroom. Perfect noise insulation, excellent sleep quality. Not to mention that it is at a walking distance from the gorgeous old city center! We ordered the breakfast in the room, the selection was wide and varied, meeting any and all expectations and tastes. The attention to detail in this hotel is spot-on, they even change the elevator carpet every day, to show what day it is...now what about that?!? There is something about this place that simply invites to relaxation and chill-out from the very minute you step foot inside. The underground parking looked very interesting to say the least...We have never parked the car in a similar space, and the access door got us thinking about some former bunker... the thought even crossed our minds that if that is not secure, I do not know what is:)))) All in all, this really is a hotel to return to, should we decide to visit Bratislava in the future again!…

Hotel check-in was fast and friendly. I stayed with reward points and was told my loyalty to IHG was appreciated. Was on the fourth floor. Room was nice, large comfortable bed with all the amenities, large TV, excellent wifi, excellent sound proofing. The one negative I did find was that there is no lamp on the desk, so it can be difficult if you are trying to read or work. Bathroom was clean, I did think the bathtub was a bit high for climbing into. At 82 years of age, it was a bit difficult. I also found that the faucet on the sink was too close to the edge for adequately washing your hands. Breakfast was buffet with a large variety of food. The cost however was 18 euros, I did have it the first morning, but found breakfast outside the hotel at a much more reasonable price for the rest of my stay. I guess if you like to go back for plate after plate of food which I saw so many do, then it may be worth the 18 euros, but not to me. All in all a very nice stay and I can high recommend this hotel.…

This is one of the best hotels in Europe superbly managed and organised to cater for every whim of the guest. The staff are extremely friendly and competent. The breakfast is amongst the best of any hotel in Europe, And to cap it all the location is superb near the main railway station. It is amongst my favourites.

The hotel is nicely situated midway between the train station and the river. It is very near to several tram and bus stops. Tram number 1 is a very regular service from the train station and stops at the back door of the hotel. The hotel itself is a standard mid range hotel and offers a decent standard breakfast and the rooms are clean and modern. It has a big lobby and bar area. The old town is a 2 minutes walk. All in all a good value hotel.

Nice hotel well localizated. Room was confortable, bed was fantastic. Nice hospitality of staff. Staff from reception and bar very helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was an other world. It wasn't on level of the rest of the hotel in terms of service and product. Staff need some training and assume service and product that are writen on the leaflet on the table. But anyway, I can recommend this hotel !

A great hotel, very centrally located with easy access to the old town. The hotel itself is in a prime position backed on top a casino, but with seperate entrances which means that there is not a constant traffic of people. The hotel has all the necessary ammenities but the building and the rooms are tired. The service of staff is excellent and they were all very helpful and eager to give tips about where to go and what to see in the city. If you are after no surprises and want a good solid place to base yourself out of - this is a great spot.
