I must regret to write about my embarrassing experience. I reserved a stay as a present for my employee and her husband and received a confirmation of double room with breakfast included in the price I had payed. But when my guests were having their breakfast they were charged for the breakfast. My guests opposed and even showed the printed confirmation, but the staff insisted on paying as "the breakfast is not in our system". I later complained at the manager, but I received a mere defensive answer - no admittion of own mistake.
Great location, easy to find on the banks of the Danube, near the historic centre and the UFO tower. Quite small, but comfortable room, very clean hotel with friendly staff. Tea and coffee and minibar in room. Lots of choice at breakfast - really good.
This is a nice hotel within walking distance of the old city and castle area. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would be happy to stay here again. The Executive Rooms are very spacious and have a nice balcony overlooking the Danube and Most Bridge.
Spacious comfortable rooms, great selection for Breakfast. Well maintained spa facilities and the terrace was beautiful to sit on for Breakfast and before dinner, great location too right on the river. Helpful staff in the spa and easy check in/out for one night.
The rudest receptionist ever!!! Insulted us for no reason and didn't even apologise! We were on a business trip (three women) and the guy lied to us a few times - first that we didn't have a reservation, then that the hotel was full and didn't have 3 single rooms (which we had reserved). Then he said he could offer us one triple room but it "wouldn't be comfortable for us because of the reason for our visit - ladies night"!?!? He never apologised and laughed at us! Eventually he found our reservation and checked us in in the 3 initially booked single rooms.
We booked an executive room with river view balcony. Beds were good and everything seemed nice and fresh except for the carpet. I don't understand why very often there's a carpet in hotel rooms that is not washed between guests. It just feels very unhygienic. Otherwise very good sauna and spa. All equipment and amenities of a four star hotel are there, bathrobe, slippers etc. Many international TV channels. Restaurant food is not really French but tasty. Parking expensive compared to room price. The room decoration and again the carpet gave a feeling of three stars though. The balconies should have higher fence, it's pretty dangerous with kids. I think they are in breach of some safety standards.. Some guests were allowed to enter and hang around the reception without wearing masks although FFP2 mask was a requirement. They were seemingly some local VIPs receiving special attention from the staff. I hope their vaccination and PCR tests at least were checked.. As a foreign visitor, it would be great if I'm not subject to infection because of corrupt habits.…
Stayed here in November , The Hotel is beautifully situated on the banks of the Danube and right at the edge of the old city which means it is easy to walk to all the major sights in a matter of a few minutes we upgraded the room and got 201 which is a large room with balcony and side view of the river, room has mini bar , tea and coffee making ( dont buy a Tea bag in the main bar , cost me 3.50 euro for one Tea bag ) and a safe . room was very clean and bathroom was good size . The staff are helpful and the breakfast staff especially Petra were very good , the breakfast is served in a beautiful room however the food itself while having a decent selection was warm but not hot and the tea and coffee likewise were just warm , however taking nothing away from the hotel it is a lovely place to stay with great location and we would stay there again …
Very professional people and approach. High level facilities, great location and top quality room with beautiful views to the river. Many thanks to the staff for the kindness. Would like to visit again!
Rooms dirty. Booked a room with a view, got a room with a dirty side terrace. Rooms smell like old linens, very stale. The information at the info desk was given to us by a very disinterested receptionist and the information was also false. No massages and spa on the weekends and on Sunday’s only the pool is open from 2pm. We have booked a room with breakfast - what a joke! No buffet, it has to be ordered from a very small menu. We waited for an hour! I sent mine back, it was inedible. Another plate, although promised, never came. I even went to remind them of the order, the manager actually said - u know, crazy waiter, crazy kitchen. Coffee inadequate. Orange juice from a box. All in all, never again.
Already came here with a friend a couple years ago, and came back during last summer vacation. The Hotel is flawless and the service is very good; we stayed in the riverview premiere suite, which is easily comparable to a 5 star hotel one. Room prices are average for a luxury hotel, however you can find good deals on single/doubles. Location is very close to town center and main pedestrain streets. Will for sure return next time I'll set foot in the beautiful Bratislava
