The hospitality is not the priority, none worry about out intention, our trip or our needs.
The room was a little bit dirty, I think that it was not clear before our arrival.
The room's style is old fashion....

The botel is a five minute walk from the centre, and being on the river it is always easy to find your way back to! Brilliant value for money, a triple room has cost around 260 euros between three people including city tax and breakfast. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good and the staff are lovely.

I reserved a river view room, first they tried to give me a dockside room and I said no, then they tried to give me a room with only sky lights and I said no and they finally gave me what I had booked. I should add that I booked two rooms here both river view but I forgot to ask my friends about their room - it was dockside. I got a very good deal on Booking.com. When I went to pay the night before departure they said i had to pay more, I refused but they were quite unhappy about it, the next morning upon leaving I dropped off the key and said I paid last night. I made it about 50 meters from the botel and the receptionist chased after me saying there was a mistake and I had to pay more. I went back inside and she started checking all the paperwork again and I simply said I'm sorry, this is how much I was quoted and I will not pay any more and left. having said all this I would stay here again

Good location with it being a five minute walk to the old town and a twenty minute walk to the shopping centre. Nice, friendly staff. Decent breakfast.
The room had very few plug sockets and some of them didn't actually work. However the receptionist very kindly gave us a power cable.
Secondly, on our second day of our stay in the hotel I happened to come back during the day to collect something. I was informed at reception that I could go up and get my things but they were completing renovations on the hotel and if men came into the room I would have to leave. I was also advised to take anything expensive. I got my stuff and returned to the room that evening to find that some of our stuff was moved and a mirror and coat stand had been erected in the room. I really think that the hotel should have informed all guests beforehand that such renovations would be taking place as I only found out because I happened to go back during the day. Had we not known, we could have left valuables behind thinking they were safe and they could have easily been stolen.

Room smelled like sewage. Stained sheets. Lurk warm breakfast. Had to chase the Manager to get the response/feedback

I'm overall very disappointed with this hotel. Every hotel has problems, but this is the first one where I had to chase the manager to get the response/feedback. I will definitely not return. Congrats on my first 1-star review on TripAdvisor that I remember giving.

SMELLY ROOM (SEWAGE)
This hotel is an anchored boat on the river Danube. The reception staff told me it
was because of the heavy rain, that the pressure was pushing the smell
out of the sewage pipes. On our first night, I told the reception staff, but he didn't seem interested. My family decided to wait until next day to see whether things would improve. A different reception staff next day passed on the information to housekeeping. When we returned for the day, she suggested that we check out the room first to see what housekeeping had done. the smell was still there, and was barely masked by an electronic air freshner placed in the toilet by housekeeyping. Because we only stayed for 2 nights, my parents decided not to complain. But it seemed like the whole 1st floor was full of sewage smell. It's not acceptable.
In the response email from the manager, he acknowledged that it is a problem. So do not stay on their first floor ever, especially on rainy days.

STAINED SHEETS
My mother found the stains on the bed sheets, and hair that didn't belong to her. I attached a photo of the stains of the bed sheets to this review. I didn't know what it was, but it looked like someone passed diarrhoea on the sheets and later it dried up.
The manager thought it was a stain that can't be cleaned. And I assume that's why this hotel kept using it?

LURK WARM BREAKFAST
The hot items (scrambled eggs and sausages) were only slightly warm, but not warm enough. There was only cold milk to go with coffee, not hot milk.
Again that manager said we could have asked the staff to heat them up. We guests shouldn't have to go extra miles to fight for the basic things. We expect to be taken good care of.

HAD TO CHASE THE MANAGER (1 week after my complaint) TO GET THE RESPONSE/FEEDBACK
I emailed the hotel on a Thursday about 3 issues I had. The Reception acknowledged my email on Friday and forwarded it to their manager. I waited for 1 week and got no reply. I then emailed the Reception again on the following Thursday and eventually got the reply from the manager Patrik. Even that he said "everything could be easily solved right on the hotel when you were here." It sounded like we hotel guests weren't strong or persistent enough or weren't noisy enough, or we could have got better service.

SOME GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS HOTEL
Finally some good things about this hotel: central location. Easy to get to by tram. Walking distance to a large shopping mall. They have a Surf'n'Turf seafood restaurant on the top floor which is amazing. Staff in that restaurant were very helpful, hospitable, positive and proud of their culture. The dining experience was fantastic.

I stayed with my family for 4 nights the service at the front desk good the rooms so dirty ,beds so uncomfortable the pillow you cannot call those pillows this are just paper I didn't enjoy at all my stay here plus the noise from the people at the restaurant or night club all night and when they have events which people should advice you it's incredible how the crazy people there jump dance and make all this noise that doesn't let you to sleep and when you go there at the reception all they said its don't worry will give you a 10% discount of that day Which will take only 4 euros from your total account but that happen when you want to try a cheap and non good service places never again and I won't recommended this place at all these another one that I'm staying in now which is call BOTEL PRESSBURG oh my god what a great place this is a nice botel you should try and it's on the same Danubian river but more clean rooms great and of course nice beds and pillows a decent place to stay

Great staff, so helpful, location is perfect(on a boat), close to main square and attractions. The boat hotel have a good and cheap restaurant on roof, great price. Rooms not big but clean and comfortable.

The hotel allows you to lock them up just outside. It is just next to the receptions. We really liked the hotel.

I don't think it has a disco on board, but city centre is within a 5 min walk. The renovation might be finished as I don't remember any works being carried out at Christmas time when I stayed there. They deffinitely serve breakfast on board, but not sure about lunch and dinner meals! Hope this helps! :)

Grazie
Answer from Alessandro
Mogliano Veneto, Italy47 contributions13 helpful votes
