Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were recently charged for a broken door which was already broken when we checked in. They took the money directly from my account without permission or correspondence on why they had done this. They have yet to come back to me on this and are trying to con us out of the money The rooms are dated and full of faults which they will try to charge you for. BEWARE

Pros:Location - excellent, Breakfast - excellent, bathroom, small but adequate & clean. Cons:The stair & room carpet in dier need of cleaning, filthy & stains everywhere it gave the room such a grubby, horrible feel. curtains just hanging on 3 hooks. General cleaning, the room windows are filthy, you could not see out & were full of mould, this is one of the main draw cards of this hotel, the view of the Danube River. We paid over 100EU per night due to the Ice Hockey World Cup which is way over our budget & were shocked & disappointed at the sad state of the accommodation. It would not take a lot of cleaning to make it nice. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights.

I stayed one night in Bratislava, and the idea of staying on a Botel seemed interesting. I was able to get a good deal on the room, so i booked it and was very excited about it. The first minus would be the fact that i arrived 4 hours earlierthan check in time, and i had to wait til check in time. I completely understand policy, but never in my life was i actually in the position to wait in such a case. Everywhere i went i was given at least the option to pay extra for early check in. Not in this case, but lets just say it wasnt the Botel’s fault. Now, lets talk about the room: The door was faulty, it wasnt closing completly, the floor under the door was not allowing it to open well. The bathroom had a bad smell. Windows were dirty and hard to open. There is no minibar or fridge

Stayed here at the weekend and was really good. Rooms are small as this is an old boat so it’s essentially cabins but space is well used . We had a view of the river which was nice. Reasonable price wise and breakfast was also good with a variety of options. Near the city centre too ! Definitely recommend

It’s simple, clean and very kind stuff. We have to understand that it’s botel not a hotel. Rooms are small but to sleep one blue D river itself it’s special. Correct place or the price. Very easy to hangout etc. The Restaurant was bit empty but it’s good for a evening drink on boat after dinner outside.

Nice location specially for fair trade. Rooms are spacious, not a lot of socket in the room. (just 2 but 1 you need for TV). Good choice for breakfast. The shower is really smalll but for short stay it s ok.

Great location on the edge of the old town but away from any of the late night noise. Friendly staff. We liked the bar for end of evening drinks on the river. Beds are really firm which is good for me and way better than having collapsed spring mattresses like some of other hotels in the region. We liked the novelty of being on a boat. Good breakfast buffet. The rooms is small and the bathroom tiny, but I think you'd expect that for a boat. You do get some pretty strong, unpleasant wafts of effluent which is kind of off putting. But you also get those around town too, so not sure how much the Botel is to blame. Despite that I would still stay here again.

I met a colleague for coffee at a restaurant. Had a piece od carrot cheese cake - see picture. When I asked, where carrots were, I was told that frozen on the top. The carrot topping was not fresh. The hotel seemed well worn and tired looking. The only advantage might be a good location. Will not visit again, not worth it. There are better places with nice view in Bratislava.

This hotel is very easy to find, Just on the river, next to city center. However the restaurant was closed twice in the evening, first time because of private évent and second time because there were not a lot of visitors in the boat! The room is really nice and quite huge but: there are no curtains and you are waked up early in the morning. breakfast is good, but orange Juice is to be avoided (sparkling and bad tasty) . However the Cofee is real Coffee. Anyway it is a good hotel to spend Two or three nights and the personel is friendly.
