Located on the left bank of the river Danube this hotel affords an excellent base for discovering the delights of Bratislava and also further afield. We stayed as a party of five split between three rooms. The rooms were very dated and all floors had the appearance that they had not been vacuumed between customers. Between the three rooms we had a broken shower, reported twice but not fixed, no air conditioning and only one fan between us, plugs missing from sinks, no safe, no tea/ coffee making facilities only these could be purchased at reception. The curtains had missing hooks and did nothing to block out the early sunrise, the net curtains were faded and ripped, the walls are paper thin and throughout the night you can hear the music blasting out from the nearby bars. Breakfast is served on the top floor bar which looks as though it has had an upgrade in recent years and there is a small terrace should you wish to sit outside. The selection is limited with sausages, scrambled and boiled eggs providing the hot items along with cold meats, cheese and the usual cereals and breads. After the first morning of our seven night stay they ran out of tea bags and after asking several times these were never replaced. The outside of the the hotel could do with a lick of paint along with the corridors and doors. Transport to Budapest, Vienna or Devin Castle is just 5 minutes away by either boat or bus. The delights of Bratislava are just a short 10 minute walk away although the train station is a 30 minutes by foot. All in all if your looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful in a great location without certain comforts then this could be the place for you.…
The place is situated right in the city center and one cannot really miss it. The lady at the reception was kind and professional. The room was a bit smaller than expected but the space was managed excellently. Everything was clean, and the bed comfortable. Only concern was the thickness of the walls, and the risk to hear other guests noises during the night. This did not happen and we slept magnificently and in silence, despite the position of the Botel near one of the main road of the city. During morning we had breakfast on the upper deck, lovely but the choice was very limited nevertheless overall good. Only point to raise in this regard is the juice machine, which with the carbonation did not remind at all the taste or fuirts. Finally checkout was quick and smooth. Overall very nice expwrience, definitely worth for the money paid for the stay. …
I stayed for 2 nights and was very pleased with the Botel. A friendly, helpful reception staff. The room/cabin was spacious and clean, and the bed comfortable. The location is perfect. Very close to the old town and all the sights. All at a very reasonable price. Recommended.
A great idea, an old pleasure boat converted into a hotel which is moored into concrete. Not a bad location, a 10 minute walk takes you to the centre of Bratislava. The rooms were small and cramped and the bathroom definitely needs an upgrade, but the bed was really comfortable and we had a pleasant stay
Stayed here for 2 nights. Disappointed as I felt it would be better going by the photos which make it look better than it is. Room was average. Bathroom terrible as it was very small and cramped. Breakfast was a decent selection but eggs and sausages were cold so hot food option was a waste of time. Only one outside terrace available which is often closed and very run down. The awnings on the terrace are tired and need replaced and overall isn't a great area to sit and relax. Bar and restaurant area is nice but the rest of the boat needs decorating and freshened up. Fire extinguishers missing throughout. Location is excellent few minutes walk to the old town. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Yuri on the bar and Olga on reception. Overall if returning I would book somewhere else.…
So if you wanna stay on a river cruise, this is the place. The hotel is a cruise converted to a hotel. Located near to the centre of city, botel is placed on the banks of Danube and the window view is awsome. Room size was little small, washrooms are less spacious as well. breakfast was average.
The location of Botel Gracia is perfect - nearby to the old center, to UFO tower, castle, but the rooms are outdated, with dirty floors and smell of dust. For a low level budget it is a perfect location. The buffet breakfast is at nice panoramic deck with view. At the reception they do sell cherry beer which has amazing taste.
We were recently charged for a broken door which was already broken when we checked in. They took the money directly from my account without permission or correspondence on why they had done this. They have yet to come back to me on this and are trying to con us out of the money The rooms are dated and full of faults which they will try to charge you for. BEWARE
Pros:Location - excellent, Breakfast - excellent, bathroom, small but adequate & clean. Cons:The stair & room carpet in dier need of cleaning, filthy & stains everywhere it gave the room such a grubby, horrible feel. curtains just hanging on 3 hooks. General cleaning, the room windows are filthy, you could not see out & were full of mould, this is one of the main draw cards of this hotel, the view of the Danube River. We paid over 100EU per night due to the Ice Hockey World Cup which is way over our budget & were shocked & disappointed at the sad state of the accommodation. It would not take a lot of cleaning to make it nice. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights.
I stayed one night in Bratislava, and the idea of staying on a Botel seemed interesting. I was able to get a good deal on the room, so i booked it and was very excited about it. The first minus would be the fact that i arrived 4 hours earlierthan check in time, and i had to wait til check in time. I completely understand policy, but never in my life was i actually in the position to wait in such a case. Everywhere i went i was given at least the option to pay extra for early check in. Not in this case, but lets just say it wasnt the Botel’s fault. Now, lets talk about the room: The door was faulty, it wasnt closing completly, the floor under the door was not allowing it to open well. The bathroom had a bad smell. Windows were dirty and hard to open. There is no minibar or fridge in the room. I cant believe there are people who pay 70€ for such conditions! Everything there seemed to be older than me. All i can say is that its better to be avoided. …
