This was our first visit to Bratislava and the Marrols Boutique Hotel had been recommended in a newspaper review we had read. The bus from Vienna airport dropped us about half a mile away on the banks of the Danube and we walked in the cold to the hotel which is located in a fairly quiet street further down. The location was very good for visiting the Christmas markets, the old town, the blue Church and about a 20 minute walk up to the castle. It was a very cold December spell when we were there with snow and the roaring fire in the hotel foyer was most welcoming. The Christmas decorations were bright and tasteful but not overpowering. We didn't eat at the restaurant when we were there but took breakfast there like everyone else which was buffet style and plentiful (although no fresh coffee - only stuff from a machine). The tables are quite close together so that might be a consideration if you do decide to dine there. We booked a premium room (305) facing the front of the hotel - I'm not absolutely sure what the benefits of a premium room are, though. There was some street noise mainly in the morning but it wasn't a problem for us. The room has a 'free bar' consisting of soft drinks and a local beer if I recall but once these were consumed, they were never replaced during our stay. You receive a free drink voucher to be used in the hotel library bar for a sparkling wine, water or a fruit juice. The staff were on the whole friendly and helpful (in particular one member of staff from Honduras who was especially kind). For some reason during our stay, all the kettles were removed from the rooms - it would have been good to let the guests know that this was going to happen in advance. All in all a good base from which to explore Bratislava.

We stayed at Marrol’s Hotel at the end of August. Check in was at 3pm and we were given 2 vouchers for a free welcome drink later in the bar. (water, juice or sparkling wine). Our room was on the 4th floor with an inner courtyard view. There was a safe, hairdryer, ironing board and iron in the room. The TV had about 50 channels but only 2 were English language news channels. The fridge in the room had 2 complimentary soft drinks and 2 cans of beer which was a nice and welcome touch on a very hot day. There was also a large bottle of sparking water, a kettle and a expresso machine in the room . In the bathroom was a bath/shower and L’Occtaine toiletries. The outside temperature was 33 degrees and our air conditioning in the room had a fault and could not get the temperature below 25 degrees which made for an uncomfortable night. I reported this the next morning and was straight away offered a different room as they could not fix the a/c problem immediately. The new room was a comfortable 21 degrees which made a huge difference. We were given a late checkout, 2 more welcome vouchers and a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvenience. A really good response to a sticky situation. Well done Marrol’s staff. The included breakfast was of high quality with lots of choice. The hotel is in a great location with the number 1,3 & 4 tram line stops a 3 minute walk away. Bratislava old town centre is only a 10 minutes walk away. We felt very safe in Bratislava and would recommend Marrols hotel as a great base for a city break.

Really lovely hotel, nicely furnished and a relaxing atmosphere. Location was great. Just outside the old city but withing walking distance to everything.
Mini bar in the room was disappointing. The beer was awful (I saw this later for 70c in the shop!) And the wine wasn't much better.
Rooms tidied daily. Shower was a bath shower which for me as a 5'3" person was difficult to get in and out of so thankfully they had bars to hold on to. Shower was warm with strong water pressure.
Beds were really comfortable so we had a great night's sleep.
Breakfast was lovely with a wide range of food available. They gave us a breakfast bag on the morning we were leaving which was also very nice and appreciated.
Staff were very nice also.

I booked a single room and it was a true single but spacious enough for one person especially based on the very reasonable tariff. The bed was a bit bigger than a twin but probably smaller than a double. Big enough. There were the usual amenities - fridge, safe etc plus a small espresso maker and 1 pod which was replaced each day with 1 more. The bathroom was small but modern and I was asked for my preference of a shower or a bath. A very good buffet breakfast was included with lots of choices. There is a great 80's playlist in the restaurant. There was also a separate bar with comfortable chairs and nice ambience. Guests got a coupon for a free drink. The large reception area has a real wood fire.
On the "could be better front" the only power outlet within reach of the desk was under it and I spent too much time crawling in and out with mobile phone and computer cords. The hotel is busy and the check in process is cumbersome and time consuming. There has to be a better way of doing it. On the other hand, the reception staff are charming and helpful. I had dinner in the restaurant one night. The menu was fairly short and somewhat overpriced so there was no return visit.
The hotel is very close to the old town and excellent value. I would return if in Bratislava again.

Everything was perfect. The location of the hotel was great and we reaches every part of the city so easy, The breakfast was great and there was stuff there in order to help the visitors and to ensure that food is in a safe place (no hands, spoons, forks mixed ). The rooms were clear and disinfected probably, respecting the environment, There was everything in it , bathrobes, white flyffy towels, sanitary bags, There was also a machine cleaning our shoes in the entrance . The personnel was kind smilie helpful and willing to give you information and solutions. The library saloon is so atmospheric . the structure is so luxuriouw and of high aesthetic that gives you a very positive impression. The air smells freshness and the good vibes are all over the place.

Very comfortable hotel with a lovely restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The doorman Patrick is a lovely friendly guy who is an asset to the hotel and very helpful to guests. A lovely touch is the complimentary minibar which is stocked with beer, soft drinks and fruit juice. Even though I know it’s included in the price it shows that the hotel cares about its guests. Our room also had access to a lovely garden terrace which was an added bonus!!

I stayed at Marrol's Boutique Hotel in Bratislava for a weekend in April 2023, and I found it to be tucked away on a quiet back street. The hotel's decor is reminiscent of an old English drawing room, creating a warm and rich atmosphere upon entering. The lounge and bar area, with its library theme, were particularly cozy. Although my standard room was a bit small, I had no complaints as it was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with excellent Wi-Fi connection. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always had a smile. The weekend breakfast had a great selection of both continental and hot offerings, and the complimentary bubbly added a special touch. The hotel's location was convenient, with a craft beer bar just 20 meters down the road and the old town within a 5-minute walk, eliminating the need for taxis. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just back from a 3 night stay in this hotel, excellent in every department, breakfast choice is wide & varied, well presented and not the normal rush you get in most hotels. The bedrooms have the slippers, dressing gown, new fresh water every day, free mini bar in room, loads of tv stations, lots of storage facilities, excellent range of toiletries in bathroom and house keeping called every day to keep the room ship shape. The reception staff and concierge were so helpful providing information and directions as required, also on one wet day provided us with an umbrella, which we bought back wet and were presented with another dry one to go out again. Its location is so central to visit the beautiful old town of Bratislava and also close to two excellent shopping centres if you require a bit of retail therapy. Overall a fantastic stay so thank to all at the hotel who made our stay so pleasant.

Once again I have to state the following - I've more than 200 hundred accommodations ( hotels, guest houses, RB&B's, etc.) in more than 20 countries, on 5 different continents. This hotel rates very high on my all time hotel ranking. Located in Bratislava, fairly close to the historical center - like 10-15 minutes walk and you are in the Old City center ... so very well located. Now in terms of parking you got 2 options - the hotel has its own garage, or you can park on street in front of the hotel , but remember to use the app and pay the charge. Still the options are there. Checking in and checking out - went very fast and easy, everything was ready upon our arrival, so only a few signatures, a swipe of the credit card and that's it - the front desk staff was very professional and very helpful. The room was decent in size - not the biggest I've seen , but very clean, with all the items need at hand, safe box for valuables, comfortable bed, very good Wi-Fi signal, etc. etc. Overall if got everything we've needed. Breakfast - we only went to the dinning area near the lobby , did not use the in room breakfast option - however it was great what I've seen, a lot of options availed, if you have special dietary needs they can handle those too. We've stayed for the 3 nights and I have to say every morning they've got so many different choices that I never got bored of the selections, and everything tasty really good. Excellent by all means. It is a none-smoking hotel, so should you feel like lighting one up, you need to go outside in front of the hotel. And because I've booked many months ahead, we've got a very good price for the room ... To sum it all up - a stay very close to perfection. A hotel that I can recommend to anybody who is visiting Bratislava.

Very nice hotel a short walk from the best area to hang out in the interesting city. Good breakfast and efficient and helpful staff. We discovered upon awakening our last morning there that our car/driver was canceled a few hours earlier and our travel agent had emailed the hotel requesting that a hotel taxi be arranged for us. I was greeted with a smile at the front desk and before saying "good morning" was told the taxi would be there at the appointed hour. It was. One day the housekeeping staff didn't get our room made up. Just some confusion by staff about when we were there or not. No big deal. Housekeeping was there to take care of the room and the front desk manager insisted we accept a bottle of Slovak wine as an apology and gift. We most definitely would stay there again.
