City with a history , first time visiting this part of Europe, after getting a train from Vienna we arrived at hotel , this hotel looks like a blast from the 1950s with great decor and a restaurant that could be from an old film , our room was on 3rd floor overlooking square with sculptures and fountain , room was clean and comfortable and had kettle and small fridge , shower was powerful and bath was a bonus , we had lunch on first day and found the menu traditional and fairly priced , breakfast each morning was good with a mix of cooked and continental food on offer . A small supermarket located in the square selling essentials and some beers and wine . A young staff who were eager to help and speak in English . We did not use public transport from hotel but bus stops were outside the hotel and were every 10 mins . This hotel is a popular one with locals and held a wedding during our stay , lovely to see x

Cheap and cheerful hotel. The decor was old fashion but that gives the hotel character. We were on the 6th floor with a terrace. The room was clean and tidy great for a base to explore. We visited the salt cave once. It was warm and we wore normal clothes. The hotel gives plastic shoe covers to stop the salt from the cave making a mess. There was a fridge, kettle and hairdryer in the room. The breakfast was brilliant

Just back from an excellent stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a quiet area of the city. It's about a 30min walk to the old town but download the bolt app and it eill costsm as little as 4euro. Never waited more then 5mins for a taxi and I used them 10 times. We had a room on the 6th floor with a balcony (for smoking) the room itself was small but it had everything required with an very comfortable bed. The rooms without the balconies were very big and spacious. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice between hot and cold and it changed every day . I would highly recommend this hotel when you are visiting Bratislava.

We spent in the hotel for 3 nights during our recent stay in Bratislava. it was unbelievingly bad place to be in, mainly because of A/C that doesn't work, bad room service and a very small place to have breakfast especially when the hotel is fully booked. Air conditioner: there was no AC working in the room (multiple times we mentioned it to reception but had the different answers: the first one was that the hotel AC works now in a heating mode (? - every room has its separate AC?), the second answer was leave it working for couple hours (when we tried it the temperature in the room raised instead of getting lower) and the final one was: we gave all fans to other rooms so open the window, it is cool outside. Reception told us that there is no other room to have instead since the hotel fully booked. NOTHING WAS OFFERED as a compensation for the huge inconvenience caused by inappropriately working AC. Breakfast: served in the partially opened restaurant so during rush hours you need to stand nearby previously used table and wait between 10-15 minutes until the waitress remove dirty dishes from. Some guests did it by themselves. Room Service: if you ask by yourself to change towels and clean trash cans, it will be done only by request (no sign in the room to put on the door asking for room service)

We had a great stay at the Apollo Hotel and would happily stay here again. The rooms are spacious and clean and the refillable mini fridge is a nice touch. The breakfast was good with a wide range of options. Whilst the location isn’t right in the centre, it’s a nice 20-30 minute walk or a short (& cheap) taxi so is not too bad at all. It is also within a 10 minute walk to the main bus station and is not far at all from the airport either.

Very nice hotel, with an "old school" vibe but modern facilities. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. Location is perfect if you are arriving by bus as the international bus terminal is 400 meters away. Breakfast was top notch, with good food and many and varied options including fresh fruit. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside is the "check-out at 11am" policy. As I had only one day in Bratislava the need to leave at 11am was a bummer because I would have loved to have one more hour to enjoy the city before the need of leaving the room. At 11:05 the phone was already ringing requesting us to leave and we rushed packing. It is true that we could have left the luggage there, but it's not the same if you cannot enter the room again.

The rooms are of a comfortable size and provide all necessary facilities. Bedding is ok. Decent choice for breakfast although not great variability over the week. As part of a big group we had lunch and dinner provided and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. A bizarre and tiring thing was that there is not direct access from the room floors to the restaurant and the meeting rooms (unless I did not discover it). From the rooms you had to get to the ground floor (lift or stairs) and then climb up to the restaurant and then to the meeting rooms only by stairs and the reverse for getting back to the rooms. Good for exercise but a problem for those with reduced mobility. The hotel is far from the centre and use of public transport is recommended (very cheap). Staff are polite and helpful.

We booked a family room and were given a double room with a very small sofa bed. Small bathroom and no bidet. Dirty carpet and curtains in the rooms. Old hotel in a decentralized location and in a popular neighborhood with an unsafe feeling. It is a 2.5 km walk from the centre. Rude reception staff, they made us wait over 2 hours to assign us a room while allowing other guests to pass by. To close, they tried to ask us to pay the supplement for our dog (€20 per night) already paid at the time of booking. I strongly advise against it

Lovely short stay. Hotel is not centrally located to the old town area buy close enough should you choose to wall 25 mins. However with Bolt costing only €4 and so readily available it makes getting back and forth amazing value. The hotel feels very grand if q little dated now but is in good condition , room was clean spacious and well appointed, staff very helpful, breakfast quite varied but plenty of it and of food quality. Would stay again.

Bad experience! The staff is friendly and polite, but as for the hotel, rating it a 4-star is impossible. The rooms are poor, old and ruined as well as not very clean. The uncomfortable and noisy beds, zero soundproofing, and for the child (paying) is given a paltry sofa bed. Torn curtains, rusty bathroom handles, dirty bathroom door and mirror top ditto. in the room they do not even bother to find water to drink. When I asked for water, asking if it was normal not to have found it in the room, since there were glasses, at the reception I was told that tap water is drinkable and that therefore they did not understand what I needed, and for a bottle of mineral water of half a liter I was charged € 2.50. I find this unacceptable in a hotel that boasts four stars. I will definitely not set foot there again and I am sorry to have to spend another few days there given how the stay began. I highly recommend this hotel.

Apologies for the late reply.
From the one called Bratislava Main station (Hlavani Stanciu) is where most trains will arrive and is situated north east of the old town, about a half hour walk.
But I believe you may contact the hotel to arrange for a taxi. Otherwise Google your queries. As I did. From the train station get a map of the city & you can navigate from there. I Hope this is helpful as I have Slovakian friends whom was kind enough to show me around by private car. Cheers!
Hi there
Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately I Have friends in Slovakia so I was picked up from Vienna.
But I believe there is a direct train, shuttle bus from Vienna airport to Bratislava station. Perhaps you could Google it online. But if you book a car the price is around 60-80 Euro.
Cheers & Have a Good trip
There are more places to choose from in the Bratislava area.
