Rooms are fine, big and clean. Location close to the center is also very good. The poor rating is a result of incompetent waiters during breakfast. After ordering 2 soft boiled eggs nothing happened. After 15 min we asked a waiter, 10 min later we asked again, another 10 min later two almost raw eggs were served.
This AC Hotel is a new Marriott option in Bratislava but it’s not a newly built hotel, it’s an old hotel that it was rebranded to Marriott last year. The worst thing about this hotel is that they don’t have any respect for privacy even if you put the (Do not disturb) sign. First morning at 10AM the housekeeping lady entered my room while I was sleeping and I was really shocked when I saw her since I put the sign already, she interrupted my sleep. The other morning on the day of checking out the sign was there and it’s the day of checking out normally you wouldn’t expect the housekeeping and the same happened this time with another lady from the staff at 11AM. It looks like this is the norm at this hotel. Even the sign itself has so many exceptions written on it, the language is not emphasizing the privacy enough, it’s hilarious I’ve never seen that in any hotel before. Another problem was the weak Wifi connection in my room 252. Breakfast is not complimentary for Marriott Titanium members but you can pay 3.20€ to have it included with the daily credit, breakfast was Ok but definitely not worth the 12 or 15€ since so many usual breakfast items are missing. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a good stay.…
This hotel is in a great location. It’s an easy walk to all the main sights. It’s separated from a busy street so very quiet. Check in was very efficient and courteous. My room on the sixth floor was spacious and comfortable. No view but that’s okay when you’re sightseeing most of the day.
The city has a lock down. We came 1 hour before new year's eve and they told us that the kitchen will be closed so we had to order from Greece, just before our flight, our food and they would heat it when arrived. We strictly asked not to include peanuts and cashews and to be cooked in different pans because of our daughter's allergy and the reseptionist told me that she would mention it again to the cook. Our daughter had to take cortisone pills at that night. Keep that as a note. In every request the answer was "We don't have service at the time and can't do it". No water (only sparkling and the sour one) no olive oil for the salad no cheese for the pasta. No to everything. So when we arrived back to the hotel in noon after a walk in the city we asked for the kitchen menu, and the receptionist (guess what) told us that they don't have service at the time and we had to order from a restaurant in the city. She gave us the menu and, what a surprise, it was the same with the first night. The night that we asked food with no peanuts and cashews because of the allergy. Outrageous. Finally we ordered from a famous burger firm. They told us that we couldn't eat at the first floor lobby and had to stay in the room. What about room service? Well the room service was unacceptable too. They came in the room and just fixed the coverlet on the bed. Never changed the glasses. Never changed the sheets and never changed the towels, for 3 nights. Of course not even think that they vacum cleaned the room. Plus every morning we had to order what we want to have for breakfast because the hotel had no bookings (so not because of covid restrictions). Why should I care about it? I paid for the room the price they asked and got sales to service. It supposed to be a Marriott hotel. Well it doesn't deserve it. No Marriott no other big firm. They are good at taking money but the worst in terms of service. Cheap way of behaving to clients.…
Nice new design hotel in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a very enjoyable stay over the New Year’s weekend. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. I was upgraded free of charge which was a nice surprise.
We got into our hotel in the evening - it was getting dark. The hotel was in a perfect spot for access to town. The check-in was easy, and I got a very nice room. I loved all of the places for electronic hookups! Sometimes traveling in Europe that can be a problem. My only issue with this hotel is that it was way too hot. I tried to turn down the thermostat, but had no luck. I asked someone for help, and he told me that I couldn't have the window open and turn down the heat, so I closed the window. Well, after leaving the room for a few hours, it did not cool down one bit, so I opened the window as much as I could which was only about 1". I am just happy that I had a portable fan with me. The managers really need to look at this as I would not stay there again without having temperatures in the high 60s for sleep. Great internet, though.…
The hotel is modern with nice large rooms. It is a convenient location walking distance to the old town. The staff were very pleasant. The problem was that the air conditioning was turned off for the year and the rooms (our group was on the 5th floor) got very hot. I don't think the heat was on, I think it was just sun and heat rising. However, I was told the only thing we could do was open the window. It only opened a crack. Luckily the open window and leaving the blinds open cooled the room down enough for us to sleep. The next day it was just as hot even with the window open all day. They really need to have fans in the rooms if there is no other way to cool them down. Maybe rooms on a lower floor are better.
Have stayed for a night after the whole day travelling. Hotel is located close to everything and has a very nice design. Front desk lady who checked me in was extremely helpful and polite, servise was flawless. Very nice breakfast with some local items.
There are a lot of good things about this hotel: - Friendly service at reception - Clean, new (?) rooms and public areas - Convenient location just a few minutes' walk to the heart of Old Town - Within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, and shops - Rooms have everything you need - Fine buffet breakfast (though better get while the gettin's are still good; i.e., don't wait until it's almost over, when they are running out of stuff) The only negative, but it was really annoying, was that our room was right under the fitness center. Who puts a fitness center on the sixth floor? And why, if it's open 24 hours a day, is there a room underneath it at all? Someone used the fitness center at 4:45 a.m. on a Sunday. This is no exaggeration because I looked at my phone when I woke up to what sounded like someone dragging a body around, and then dropping it, and then picking it back up and dragging it around some more before dropping it again. (We only later realized that there was a gym, and that it was right above us). I don't care if people want to use the gym at strange times, especially because the gym is obviously open 24 hours a day. Just don't put a room underneath it. Or, since there's already a room there, please don't put guests in it, ugh. Also, 24 euros for parking per day (albeit in an underground garage onsite) seems a bit steep in Bratislava.…
The hotel has a very good location close to the old town. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars nearby. We came early in the morsning but Lucia at the front desk helped us to get a nice room after just a short wait. The room was rater big and very clean. Breakfast was good with many choises.
