Strange place...wi-fi but no Internet access for guests, no room service at all for food, rooms only serviced on request, room fridge and lobby vending machines completely empty because " guests steal everything". First room given to us had waste water water from the basin simply pouring straight onto the bathroom floor and an impressive collection of dead flies and insects on the window sills. Breakfasts were fine, staff friendly and the hotel is an easy walk from the station and into the old city. Definitely not a 4 star experience though!
I spent almost a week in this very comfortable hotel with a modern and well-equipped room with good wifi, friendly staff and a first-class breakfast buffet. It is located very near to the main train station and only a 15-minute walk to the city centre with plenty of food shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Can certainly recommend.
Clean and well presented. Strict covid rules. Breakfast was room service, good choice but the order list was rather overwhelming! Rooms are very nice and this is one of the best Mercure's I've stayed in.
Used the hotel during my short citytrip. Conveniently located near central station and public transport hub which takes you to city center, walking is about 20min. Got a privilegeroom which was very roomy and he'd a big twin which gave me good night rests. Room had good WiFi, safe, coffee-/tea padmachine (no kettle) an fridge/minibar. The soda and juices in the minibar were complimentary; other items for a fee. Bathroom had good amenities as bathrobe, slippers and other usual necessities. Bathroom isn't completely enclosed and has a big glass separation with the rest of the room; this can be a bit of a "thing" when sharing the room with somebody else as your partner. The rainshower was big enough to move around and the toilet was separated from the bathroom. Breakfast was good; lots of choices in breads and coverings or cereals and few hot items. Also the Privilege-lounge is a big plus were you can relax after a busy day sightseeing or work. There is a small library with interesting books and the snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks are complimentary. Covidmeasures that were in place at the end of October were; showing you're Covidpass at check-inn, use of facemasks inside the hotel, room cleaning/turnover only on request and the "bread part" of the breakfast buffet is served; you can ask as many items as you wish and the server places them on a plate for you to enjoy. All in all it was a very convenied and relaxed stay and I would recommend it highly when going to Bratislava.…
Stayed just one night heading home after a business trip. Great location next to railway station. Hotel was not very busy as Slovakia slowly opens up but staff all very friendly. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
It is my second stay in this hotel and my next stay will be definitely be in Mercure. The hotel has a high standard for the guests. The room was very spacious and it was clean and modern. On site parking is free, it is also very close to the old town. I highly recommend this hotel
Covid measures in Slovakia are among those very tight, limiting majority of hotel services to in-room only, including dining. Mercure does very well under these conditions. Very good sleep. Smooth wifi.
I am a member of Accorhotels so I like the range of the offer. The quality of the room as expected, of course the service is very limited because of the COVID situation. Just one suprise - there was no cleaning during all my stay (3 nights).
Great stay at Mercure Bratislava. Friendly and helpful staff. Check in/check out was quick. Highly recommend to book the suite room. Its spacious, modern and comfy. Huge plus is walk in shower and also bath in room. Due to covid19 restrictions hotel offered in room breakfast which was rich selecion of food and was fresh and tasty. Definitely my next choice in Bratislava.
Room clean and bathroom in an excellent condition and the soundproofing from outside was excellent. The hotel location was ideal for myself being opposite the train station as I needed to get an early morning train on departure. Also it was at the end of the 61 bus route from the airport. While this is not suitable for someone looking for a central hotel there is a tram stop nearby offering frequent services to the center and it is in walking distance. Due to the Covid virus the breakfast was by table service from a menu. No longer a fan of hotel buffet breakfasts but, In my opinion, the table service was much better as the eggs had runny yokes instead of solid ones and the bacon was fresh and edible instead of being rock hard - Accor please take note! The waitress was a star accommodating any variation requests from the menu and made herself always available for any other requests with a smile. Would be my first choice when I return to Bratislava.…
