Extremely pleasant, cosy atmosphere and a very polite waiter. There was a big variety of high quality meals, served marvellous with a distinguished sense for detail and perfection. Couldn‘t be more satisfied, excellent food, flawless service. Definitely recommend!!! 11/10
Amazing hotel, located in the safe, quieter embassy district, just above the castle on the hill. Easy 10 min walk into old centre of Bratislava. Lovely inside, great facilities, top restaurant and Spa.
This is an excellent local 5 star hotel that spares no detail. The room was extremely spacious with balcony and large bathroom. The breakfast was a la carte and very well presented with really good coffee! The thermal suite was so quiet, exceptionally clean and very relaxing with pool, jacuzzi jets, sauna, steam room and plunge pool. The hotel itself is located in the hills in a quiet residential area and so if you are looking to be slightly away from the usual tourist traps, this is for you. We walked all the time but there is a regular bus that stops just at the hotel if you don't fancy the walk. I would highly recommend it and its very well located for a weekend trip. For all the facilities it offers, it is very good value for money. We would absolutely return.
We stayed for a night from Saturday to Sunday as the hotel made a good impression on first sight. While booking we asked for a quite room as we are a little noise sensitive which was appreciated by the hotel. Upon arrival we learned that there was a birthday party in the hotel. It turned out to be the worst night in a hotel. Half an hour past midnight I complained about the noise level which prevented any sleep. I thought I checked into a discothek. Being on the second floor we had noise well into the night. It would have been fair to mention a night party w noise at booking while asking for a quite room. This way I feel completely fooled and very annoyed that guests are being set on second priority over a party-what a service.
Tried to force me to sign a smoking penalty form at check-in (I don’t smoke). Manager told me this was “normal”. Took €100 authorisation at check-in even though the room was pre-paid and for the mini bar contents were much less than €100. Our reservation included continental breakfast but were told instead it was à la carte up to a maximum of €10. Location is a little inconvenient (steep hill).
Stayed at The Albrecht for 3 nights. The hotel is small, but very pleasant. The positives: Rooms are clean and quirky and the breakfast is excellent. The hotel is up a steep hill about 20 minutes walk from he old town. Issues: The main problem I found was that the staff appeared unable to make sensible decisions It took 3 days to get an iron to my room, I was charged for an extra pot of tea for breakfast and told that my deal included continental breakfast only - and anything else would be charged - even though all the other breakfasts were the same price or less! One other issue was the ugly concrete ceiling in the bar - looked like a car-park roof. They really ought to cover it or even paint it.
This is one of my new favorites. In a quiet neighborhood on the hill looking down on Bratislava. Close walk to the castle. Clean fresh and updated People very nice and bread was great I would definitely come again
Sitting just a few hundred metres away from the castle this is a proper luxury boutique hotel where guests are made to feel welcome and valued. A short walk away from the centre of the old town you have all the comforts of a proper luxury hotel without the stress and noise of being in the middle of town. We didn't get chance to eat there but the restaurant food we saw being served was first class and we were sad not to be able to find the time to try it. Room was spacious and well kept and the bathroom particularity nice. We have seen some say that it is a long walk to town from the hotel, obviously they are not used to traveling in and around the cities if the world! More so they missed the frequent, cheap and swift busses that run day and night should you not feel like walking dinner off in your way to bed!…
I had a good stay here. The staff were really nice and the room was great too. The only downer on an otherwise immaculate room was the one of the glasses wasn't clean and hadn't been replaced, but an easy mistake. I was staying for business and I found the location to be good. The staff helped me to arrange taxis and I was able to meet colleagues for a drink in the bar. All in all, I'd stay again.
We spent the weekend in Bratislava and stayed at hotel Albrecht. I can understand why people may say it’s not 5 star but for us it was perfect. We arrived early and they went out of their way to try and have our room ready which I really appreciated. They also gave my wife a free 30min massage as it was her birthday (the girl noticed her date of birth on her passport at check in). This was a really nice touch and again it was very much appreciated. Over the course of the weekend we had the need to ask for a power adaptor and pain killers. Each time they couldn’t have been more helpful or attentive. I see some people complained about the location but some basic research when you’re booking will tell you exactly where it is in relation to the old town. With very frequent and affordable transport we didn’t see it as an issue. The reasons I gave 4 stars rather than 5 was because the spa was a little underwhelming. Very nice and very clean but no jacuzzi and the temperature of the pool was a little on the cold side. A minor enough complaint though. If your idea of 5 star is to have staff run around after you making sure your every need is catered for then this likely isn’t the place for you. We much preferred the understated manner in which we were looked after. Highly recommended!!…
