Really lovely hotel, we had the business room which was really spacious and nicely decorated. We also had a view of Bratislava Castle which was amazing. The only flaw with the room was the shower. It honestly covered the bathroom with water even when we were trying to be careful.
The receptionist was as helpful as possible and gave us a bed sheet to mop it up, as house keeping weren’t there in the evening to get us towels.
In the morning we had 3 towels and the bed sheet outside the shower and it still created a huge flood on the floor.

My room was huge, had a full kitchen and a nice view. The Mamaidkn staff is excellent and the prices are low. This hotel certainly provides great value and I'd definitely stay here again. A small note: it's a five-minute walk to a more central area of Bratislava, but that was fine with me because it was quiet and located in a very nice area.

Check-in 15:00 but we got to check in already at 13:00. The hotel is located a bit from the city center but easy to reach with a short walk. Big room with seperate rooms for shower and toilet. Pretty noisy air conditioning and really bad TV reception, it was not possible to watch. Not the best water pressure in the shower. Soft bed which felt well used, good pillows. Good kitchen area that made it easy to cook your own breakfast if you wanted to. An ok hotel.

The hotel is of a good standard and very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms/apartments were a good size and nicely furnished. The only, but, is that we are 3 ladies over 60. Not only was the walk uphill from the old town quite a challenge, but the hotel car park is a cobbled slope and the entrance to the reception is via 2 sets of stairs one without a handrail. Distance to the old town was not a problem, but the slope getting back was a chore especially in the heat. Definitely don't want to take anything away from how good the hotel is, but think older people or people with mobility issues need to know

This is the 3rd hotel I've stayed at in Bratislava (others were the Radisson and the Dukla) and by far my favorite. It's a small, boutique hotel surrounded by embassies, trees and expensive residences. It's about a 5 to 7 minute walk down a hill to the Old Town. The Russian, Italian and all the nordic embassies are just down the street or around the corner. The Sulekova is popular as a residence hotel for longer stays but is also very attractive for short-term or weekend stays. It is quite popular and can be hard to get a reservation.

The hotel is almost brand new - opened in December 2004. The rooms have wood floors, high ceilings, and tall windows. It's furnished and decorated in a streamlined, bright, modern style. Each of the rooms seem to be at least what I would call mini-suites, where the bed is separated from the rest of the room. There's a sofa, chairs and kitchen-ette. Some of the rooms have a door that closes off the bedroom, some have an open plan.

The bathrooms feature a deep tub/shower combo with nice fittings and tile floors. The bath towels are nice, but not what I would consider extra plush. The bed linens are white and comfortable. They use what I call the Austrian style - 2 twin-size duvets for a king-size bed; each person has their own duvet.

I wasn't impressed with the breakfast - it is not included in the price and consists of mostly carbs - rolls, juice, pastry and yogurt. Also, they skimped on decent gym equipment. They also have a dry sauna which I didn't use.

The staff is wonderful and very helpful.

I can also recommed 3 restaurants that are within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. U Mamicky is absolutely wonderful and probably my favorite dining location in the city. The chef/owner is Croatien and he cooks fabulous seafood, steak and pasta. Don't be put off by the rather ornate dining room, it's not a formal place. In the summer they have a beautiful terrace for dining al fresco. Traja Muskitieri is also very nice. They have a little bit of everything on the menu and the dining room has a beautful, rustic feel. Pierrot is the closest restaurant to the hotel and it is quite good - probably the most reasonably priced of the 3 I've listed, though by western standards each would only be considered moderately priced, at most.

After I stayed in Danube and SAS Carlton Hotel I found MaMaison Residence Sulekova No. 1! It is a small and luxurious apartment hotel located in residential surroundings. It is realy only 6 minutes to the Old Town and main squares. I booked a nice business one bedroom apartment but was complimentary upgraded to much higher category.

The Sulekova Residence looks as it is brand new. From what managers told me it has been designed by Jestico and Whiles company from London. Interier is focused very much on the shape of the building and the symbol - little square - is everywhere. As far as the amenities, you can find everything that you would expect from a holiday resort in the room: full equipted kitchen, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, fridge with minibar, digital phoneline, FREE! DSL internet connection and WiFi, Sat TV with 24 channels /6 in English/, DVD player, HiFi CD Player or fully controlled aircondition.

Somobody here stated that he was not impressed with the breakfast. I found that it has been changed rapidly. It was included in my rate, consisting of nice croissants, bread rools, chololade pastry, Actimel youghurt, orange juice, Nutella, Pate, marmelade, honey, butter, coffee, hot-chocolade or tea accompanied by fresh fruit - in my case an apple. As far as apples - they are very nicely arranged at the reception FREE for guests together with FREE local newspapers and magazines.

I very much appreciated the option of washing my clothes. They have 3 washing machines and 2 driers.

As there is no restaurant on site, you have a choice of Italian style food delivery from their apartment book. It takes around 45 minutes, but the food is delicious. Residence Suelkova has wider selection of drinks and french wines at the reception lobby bar, so you can enjoy your drink with friends there or outside at the terrace.

Sauna and fittnes area is very nice and cosy, however, I didn´t use it.

The staff is another exception. Apart from overstaffed hotels with rude employees - they are only few but wonderful and very helpful - especcialy Michaela and Tatiana. Staff is fluent in English and able to arrange everything in town.

Conclusion - I will never stay in a hotel if I can get much more space and free upgrades at the Residence for the same price. I am attaching few my own pictures from apartment.

My wife and I have just returned from a glorious three-night stay at Sulekova. I booked this hotel about six weeks ago after extensive web research on central Bratislava hotels and am pleased to see some good reviews trickle in so far.

The hotel-arranged taxi collected us from Bratislava airport bang on time, (€15 each way). It’s a much better way to travel, safer and more convenient than chancing your luck when you arrive. It only takes about 10/15 minutes drive to the hotel.

Sulekova is a converted 1930’s block and all the rooms have high ceilings and are very light and airy. Our room was beautifully furnished, very modern, with good attention to detail. The curtains can section off the bed from the rest of the room give it a very contemporary feel - a lot of thought has obviously gone into the room's design.

As all of the rooms are studio-apartments and cater for long duration stays you get a lot more than standard hotel rooms, (kitchen, TV, DVD, Hi-Fi) and a fully fitted bathroom with power shower over the bath. Our room was spotlessly clean and a real home-from-home experience. Supremely comfortable Queen size beds come as standard. Decent, puffy clean pillows too, which is a plesant change from some hotels!

Breakfast is brought to your room at whatever time in the morning you require. It’s an average continental breakfast of pastries, rolls and spreads, tea/coffee, juice and yoghurt drink, but certainly good enough to line your stomach before lunchtime beers in town! Also much easier than finding somewhere to eat.

Sulekova’s staff are polite, courteous and speak good English. The hotel is in a quiet residential area and the walk into the old town is less than 10 minutes down a gentle hill. You have to cross under the main road at the bottom of Kozia via a dodgy looking
Subway, but it’s a well-used route by locals.

Bratislava itself was an enchanting and interesting city. It feels like real-life-gritty Eastern Europe. Many of the clothes shops remain very Eastern block. The pretty old town is constantly being improved as more EU money pours and it’s restaurants and pubs are good and incredibly cheap. The people are very friendly too, but I am used to living in London so that’s fair enough I suppose!

This hotel reminded me a little of Josef, (Prague), when it first opened 3-years ago or so: a new player keen to impress, which it certainly does. All in all, I cannot fault this place and it's the best hotel I’ve stayed in Central/Eastern Europe.

I stayed for 1 night at the end of August and would definitely stay there again. The location is a residential neghbourhood a 10-15 minute walk up from the old town and rooms that face onto the carpark have a view of the castle. The room was comprised of a double bed with a curtain to separate it from the rest of the room, sitting area, kitchenette, toilet and good sized bathroom.
Sulekova has a modern feel to it and seems particularly well set up for professionals who may need a base for a week or two, but want the extra room and facilities that staying in an apartment offer. That said its a great place to stay for anyone, but if you're looking for a 'traditional' hotel or cozy b&b you won't find it here.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and will order food from local restaurants for you in case all the working or walking around doesn't leave you with enough energy to sort it yourself.

We stayed at Sulekova for three nights in May, and would definitely go back for a longer stay. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous, spoke very good English, and made us feel at home. We were travelling with our 11 year old daughter, so the spacious suites were very welcome after some much smaller accommodations we had on this trip. The rooms (separate bedroom area, and large living & dining area with fully equiped kitchen) were sparkingly clean, well furnished in a bright, contemporary style, and very light and airy. Large windows could be left open even at night, as the neighbourhood is very quiet. We made use of the laundry facilities downstairs, and there was good internet access. The staff were always ready to help with our questions.
Breakfasts were continental (pastries, juice, yoghurt) and brought up to the room on trolleys, hospital style, which was a nice touch, as the building is in fact a converted maternity hospital. As the suites have coffee makers in the room, fresh coffee could be brewed, rather than having the coffee from the tray. There is also a small grocery shop just up from the hotel, where juice, cheese and snacks could be bought, handy for families with children.
The area is quiet and residential, and walking in the nearby streets was very enjoyable. The walk into the town centre was not long (about 10 minutes), but the streets were busier.
All in all, a wonderful home away from home, clean, modern, and very welcoming!

Hello herre are real answers : 1 - yes . Parking is secured in a area with survailence cameras and a gate. 2 - yes - the closest minimarket is just 50 meters, around the corner, Tesco Express is 200 m down the hill. Aupark Shopping mall is 3 km from the hotel: 3 - yes, absolutely. The tram stop is called Sulekova and it stops right in front of the residence. 1 minute fro the main entrance door. 4 - not necesarly. It depends on how you book. Normally, since the property offers kitchens guests preffer to cook their own meals. However, you can still order continental breakfast straight to the bed anytime you wish so. Regards, Tibor
