quite centrally located just off the main square and 3-4 minutes from old city centre. Very close to the presidential palace.Pretty good price with quite large rooms for that price. The outlay of the room is a little different from the normal hotel rooms- it was more like an apartment. The bath room was separate closer to the bedroom and the toilet was just to the side of the entrance. Actually the room was very large – enough for a family though the bed was on the smaller side. Quite comfortable and very decently priced.
Free breakfast –smaller selection but good enough. Staff was quite helpful.
I would recommend this hotel

We were in Bratislava for one day and night on our way to a wedding elsewhere in Slovakia, and chose the President Hotel for it's location and value. We certainly weren't disappointed! We arrived in the morning and had previously emailed the hotel to ask if we could drop our luggage off before check in at 2pm. When we actually got there, the receptionist (who was lovely, and really helpful) said that there was another room ready so we could have that one instead!

The room itself was clean and spacious, with hairdryer, loads of storage space, nice clean bathroom, minibar and comfy bed. The only noise we experienced was someone outside singing/shouting (we couldn't really tell!) in the early hours.

The small hotel bar was the perfect place for a glass of wine before heading out for the evening, and woman serving us was really friendly and couldn't do enough to help.

We went down early for breakfast after reading previous reviews, and although we didn't have any hot food there was plenty of choice and all very nice - tea, coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, bread, pastries, croissants, meat, ham, cold eggs, and a hot buffet.

The location was excellent, a minutes walk to the heart of the old town. Overall we can definitely recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again if we go back to Bratislava.

The location is perfect, hotel is neat and quit.
One drawback - I cut my finger on a sharp edge of the shower-head. The quality of the bathroom accessories is not appropriate.

The President Hotel is just outside the historic center of Bratislava, between a pedestrianiazed shopping street and the Presidential Palace (the real one, there is even a changing of the guard). The hotel seems pretty new, my room was quite large with a queen or king bed, separate
wc and shower room and even a small alcove room.

The room was clean, the water hot, the shower strong, and the breakfast pretty good -- bread, cold cuts and cheese, fruit, cereal, yogurt, even scrambled eggs.

The front desk attendant who checked me in wasn't too friendly, but everyone else was, and when I saw here again when checking out, she was in a great mood.

Free wi-fi, pretty high speed in all the rooms.

Make your reservation through one of the online reservation services and not the bratislava hotels www site. My price through hotels.com was almost 1/3 less, although I did have to prepay.

I visited Bratislava recently with two family members and booked a triple room. The room or more aptly apartment was very large and great value for money ~ we paid 60e per night which was fantastic value. There were two bedrooms, a kitchen, a shower room and a toilet. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious, there was a tv in one of the rooms but most of the channels were not in English just the usual news channel and music channels. To be honest we were not in the room long enough to watch tv! The hotel offers free internet in the lobby and wifi in the room. The staff were friendly and had good English. The breakfast was included and was a simple but sufficient buffet. Our room was not ready as we arrived at 10am but we were able to leave our luggage with the staff.
You can get a bus from the airport to the hotel ~ get a one hour ticket for 90cent and take the 61 bus to the trainstation and then take the 93 bus two stops to the President's palace and the hotel is opposite the palace ~ go straight to the lights and take the left turn you can't miss it. We took a taxi to the hotel from the airport 20e and got the bus back to the airport ~ it is simple, bus drivers are polite and willing to help.
The hotel is very close to the Old Town about 2 mins walk. We walked aroud the Old Town and enjoyed the old buildings and large squares. There are plenty of places to stop and have a drink or something to eat. The Blue Church is lovely. We took a boat trip on the Danube ~ the leave from the passanger port number 1. We did a simple one between the bridges costing 5e but they also offer a longer one to Devlin castle which costs 8e. We got the little red bus tour of the castles, it costs 10e and you get to stop off and get out at Bratislava Castle which was lovely and offered some amazing views. We went to the Aupark shopping centre for a few hours as the heat was intense about 39 degrees ~ you take the number 93 bus from opposite the Palace and go two stops to the shopping centre. It is a large centre with all of the usual shops.
We went to Vienna for a day ~ we got the 93 bus to the trainstation and then took the train to Vienna 11e return. The journey took about an hour and the train service is fantastic, a train leaves every hour and then returns from Vienna every hour until 6pm and then goes at 8pm and 10pm. We left at 9am and took the last train at 10pm back to Vienna, it is a good idea to ask for Vienna bus/tram travel to be included in your train ticket think it costs about 3e extra ~ we bought tickets in Vienna. The trainstation in Vienna is not very central so it is best to take a tram into the centre of the Ubahn. In Vienna we bought a ticket for the hop on hop off bus costing 20e for 24 hours. We went to Schonbrunn palace and the zoo first, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The zoo is the best one I have ever been to anywhere in the world. We bought combination tickets for the zoo and Prater ~ ferris wheel which was about 18e. The hop on hop off bus drops you to Prater on the blue line. We also completed the red line tour which covers the city centre ~ St Stefan's cathedral was fantastic. A day trip to Vienna is something I cannot recommend highly enough.
I was extremely pleased with my choice of hotel and would recommend it to other easygoing travellers who spend little time in their rooms!

This smal hotel was very well located, walking distance from the old city center.
Large room and very clean.
The breakfast is average without much variety.
But it is a good value for your money.
The staff is very friendly.
would stay there again if back in Bratislava

The hotel President in Bratislava is situated right in the city centre. Everything is in walking distance.

Room was nice, clean and spacious. However, the service provided by reception is less then average. Do not expect any extra help from them.

The breakfast was okey.

We stayed on the 4th floor of the President Hotel in a 2 bedroom corner suite. The suite was spacious, with a full kitchen and balcony.

The beds were comfortable and the noise level from the street was bearable - it could get a little loud on weekend evenings with the bars, but this generally wasn't a problem for us.

It appears that there is ongoing improvements in the room - there was some patching on the walls that still needed to be painted, as well as some work being done on the walls on the balcony - none of this was a problem, but it would have been nice to have been told when checking in.

The location was fabulous. We were able to walk anywhere in the Old Town and surrounding area without trouble and the hotel is steps from some of the main tram lines. It also isn't in the heart of Old Town, which proofed beneficial after seeing the masses of bargoers on a Friday night.

My only real complaint is that, despite having a full kitchen, there was not a single utensil or dish in the whole suite. It made preparing anything difficult.

Overall, it was great value for money and certainly a better value than the Crowne Plaza across the road.

So i'm still in the hotel, but have to say tgat first imoression of the girl at the desk was not good. I mean she looks lovely but she was not happy at all to see us.

We couldn't check in early but i do understand that. When we did eventually check in i was nicely suprised by the standard of the room. It was big with kitchen separate bathroom and toilet and sitting room.

The toiletries are not great, so bring your own. Beds are hard. And when i went to ask iron and ironing board i got the first one but when i asked if there is any chance to get board same lady from the morning told me that i can use bed as one??!

Now as i said great location and would defo stay here again.
