I am here already for the third time. The hotel is located far from the center in a not so nice socialistic style neighbourhood, but you can go to the center by tram. Actually I chose it, as it was near to the conference location. Due to the location, it is more a hotel for business travelers than tourists. Some industrial areas are near and the Economic University also. It is a comfortable hotel with comfortable hotel with comfortable rooms. The room was clean in the beginnig, there was no intermediate room service (3 nights stay). The service staff was friendly, some don't speak English. They have 24 hour reception, so it was no problem to arive at 2am. The hotel has several facilities, which make your stay more comfortable: Wellness area, Bar and Restaurant. Unfortunately the terrace on the roof was closed this year. The breakfast was not so good and I wished, I could book an option without breakfast, especially we got free breakfast and meals at the conference. They also have a private parking, but arrival by public transport or taxi from Petrzalka railway station is also no problem.

The hotel is quite comfortable, the staff friendly and the service good. The rooms were well equipped and in a good condition. The surrounding is not very nice and it is far from the center, but as I came there for a conference, it was suggested by the organizers, as it was not far from the conference venue. An other advantage are good parking opportunities. The hotel is more for business travelers and near the industrial area of the city, as it is quiet and comfortable, but far from sight seeing points.

The only positives were that it is clean, the bed was made daily, the wifi worked and a female staff member on reception was friendly and helpful. That’s about it. The hotel’s location is dreadful. The surrounding area is indescribably grim, real communist-era grey. There is literally nothing around apart from tower blocks. It is nowhere near the areas of Bratislava that tourists will want to see. If I had to sum up this hotel in one phrase, that phrase would be ‘bare minimum’. The breakfast was the worst I have ever seen in over 30 years of staying in hotels. The absolute bare minimum of a couple of pieces of horrible-looking boiled ham and curled-up slices of packet cheese. That was it. The waitress couldn’t speak English, which is fair enough, as I can’t speak Slovak, but we could not communicate at all. She asked me a couple of questions, I couldn’t understand anything she said. Apparently she went off to cook eggs, but I had seen enough and cancelled the breakfast. The room was small and furnished to the bare minimum. It contained a shower of a type that most Western Europeans will never have seen, but nobody explained how to use it, because doing so would have necessitated going beyond the bare minimum of effort. I had to leave the room at midnight and ask the staff member in reception, a few feet from my room, to stop talking loudly with one of his mates as I wanted to get some sleep. I had asked for directions before arriving and received the bare minimum of a response, with directions (“Number 1 tram to the end and we are near the post office”), which would make sense to somebody who lives in that area but not to an outsider staying at the hotel. The post office is 10 minutes’ walk from the tram stop; apparently guests are supposed to just guess which way to go when they get off the tram. Without Google maps, I would have had no chance of finding Dominika. The hotel is generally abysmal and overpriced. There are much better hotels in Bratislava and probably cheaper. I would happily return to Bratislava, but I would never, ever stay at Hotel Dominika again.

Good points - Aircon was quiet although no remote was provided so I had to climb on a chair to switch it on. Beds were comfortable. Large shop next door. Bus stop outside. Bad points - Arrived at 11.30pm to find the building in darkness and all doors locked. I phoned them from outside and told them in my very basic Slovak that I had a reservation but I could not get in (they could not understand me in English). I couldn't understand them in Slovak, so I asked if they spoke another language and we tried German which for me was better. After what seemed like a long and awkward conversation (which should have been very simple), they eventually came outside to let me in although I have no idea why they did not have signs on the door. There is a buzzer but it is not labelled and it's not obvious that it belongs to the hotel. Reception is upstairs so you can't see it by looking in the door. My shower was falling apart. The soap provided was cheap stuff that had very little effect. My room was not cleaned until the 3rd day. Wifi barely worked. Thin walls.

The hotel is out the main part of the city which is nice as it's much quieter. Bus route drops off and picks up right outside the hotel and costs approx €0.70 for an adult to the centre of the city. The hotel is quite basic but not too bad for the cost. Rooms cleaned daily and friendly staff. Would be nice to get possibly tea & coffee facilities in the room. The hotel does have a bar and restaurant but we didn't try them during our stay. Small shop just next to the hotel also. Only minor complains of the hotel was it's meant to be no smoking but as soon as we arrived their was a friend of some staff sat at the reception puffing away! Not the best thing to have when you just turn up and have pregnant people with you. Also our room had a really strange smell. Thought it might be the drains so tried to flush it all out. Still made no difference! Some rooms has fridges, some didn't. Beds were ok but pillows were like pancakes!! All in all I would say if you don't mind a basic hotel/hotel style place, then book here!

Great room, clean, bathroom is amazing. Near the hotel is the bank and small shop, and the buss station is right before hotel. It's also hard to find parking there in this area, but the hotel has their own parking and for free.

I arrived here late at night, the taxi was around €10 from the airport. The hotel is set back from a busy road, the room was ok a decent shower and wifi, and it was cleaned each day I was there. The guy on the reception was pretty helpful with directions and the best way to get around, there is a tram stop about 500 mtrs away from the hotel which was handy for getting to the football, if you walk into the centre of the old town it takes around 20-30 mins. A decent budget hotel but a bit out of the way.

We stayed for 3 nights with my family in a apartment. In the second room there was an extenseble couch and in the bedroom there was a very good quality king sizes bed. The staff from the front desk were very nice and spoke very good english. The food isn't very good, in the restaurnat was very hot and on the terace you could herar noises from the cars, because it was near the street. The hotel is very close to the center in a neighbourhood of flats, near "Ufo Bridge"(5 min of driving to the old city).
