When we were there, in September, it was blissfully peaceful.
The hotel is staffed by lovely, friendly and very helpful people. Very efficient check in and check out.
Breakfast had a huge range and lots of it. I have no idea why a previous reviewer was disappointed - what on earth did they want?
A previous reviewer moaned that there was no elevator, and yes, if you were immobile that would be a problem, but the stairs are wide and gentle. (1 guest whilst we were there had clearly had a stroke, and he manged fine). Not steep at all.
It was easy to find - it has a name plate on the front of the square. 15 minute walk from the railway station and 'Mesta' station is about 5 minutes if your train stops there.
The room was large, spacious, lots of drawers and cupboards to put things away and a really comfortable bed. Great shower.
As well as all the positives - stupidly I left something behind. Very kindly - it is now on it's way to the UK.
Yes, I would recommend this hotel to a friend, and I'd go back.
Friendly, warm, clean, comfortable, quiet, great breakfast ...... ALL good.
Breakfast was disappointing, as were the three long flights of stairs to our rooms with no one to help with our cases.
Easy private parking. Would stay again - on a lower floor!.
Try the Angus Restaurant or the Klubovna for your meals. Not far away.
Parking is at the back of the hotel which is not very easy to find since it looks like an abandoned place. On the negative side, the hotel does not offer a lift hence carrying heavy luggage to the third floor was very tiring. Moreover, it is old building so the flight of stairs where like going to the fourth floor or more. Hence I would not suggest this hotel to people with mobility difficulty.
Only problem in my room were thin walls and I have heard noice and conversations from next rooms.
"Room 100 is where we stayed. It has windows to the square but is quiet. The room is very nice but has not extra power outlets to charge your cellulars. The owner is not allowed to modify the room according to the regulations."Read full review
