I stayed here for a week with my colleagues for business trip. It was recommended for its extended stay rooms. I had a slightly larger superior room which had a balcony along with a kitchen & dining room with microwave and fridge. The bathroom had an elevated tub with shower head at floor level which was not adjustable. So, it was a bit awkward to crouch down while showering. The location was spot on in the town center with water fountain which was perfect. Plus, there were plenty of places to pick for dining after work. The mornings were nice since there was attached cafe for complimentary breakfast. There was fresh fruit, cold cuts, bread, and cereal. It was better than most American hotels which is mostly carbs. The evenings were hot and only relief was to open the balcony doors. The AC thermostats did not work and confirmed with my other colleagues as well. Maid service was good and was nice to have it freshened up each day. Overall, no complaints except that rooms didn't have great ventilation during our stay in early June.…

Check in un helpful verging on rude as we did not have proof of Id; Apart from UK driving license, rooms OK good size and clean, very central just a 15 min walk from the bus station, assuming you know the way.. and nice town with plenty of choices of restaurants and bars.

Great location of the hotel. The room was very clean and spacious. Excellent service from the personnel. Breakfast in style of buffet was in a very good standard. You can find a good variety of wines. Could not ask for a better place to stay in this town

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The hotel, classified as a “Garni”, though I’m not sure what that means, was one street behind the town square and only 5 minutes walk to Banská Bystrica Mesto railway station. The location is good, being close to the Europa Shopping Mall (10 minutes) and the central train and bus stations (15 minutes walk). The hotel has a nice entrance foyer that adjoins a cafe that is used by hotel guests for their breakfast. Breakfasts were included and there was a good selection catering for many different tastes. Check-in was quick and efficient and the staff, who spoke reasonable English, compared to zero Slovakian on my part were very helpful. Our room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and serviced daily. There was room for a lounge and coffee table. There was also plenty of hanging space and places to store our luggage. The bathroom has a shower over a bathtub. However the shower is a hand held one and is set at midriff height with no shower screen or curtain. You either wash yourself sitting in the bath or try and stand in the bath and hope you don’t spray water all over the floor. There are also no towel racks if you want to dry and reuse your towels. The room is heated, essential in Slovakia in winter but is not air conditioned. It was very hot (around 27C). We could keep the two windows and balcony door open during the day but at night because it is on a busy street favoured by rev heads for making as much noise with their cars at night as possible we had to keep the windows shut night to get some sleep. I would still recommend the hotel as the room is comfortable and of a good size, the staff are helpful and breakfasts are very good but if you can, especially in summer, ask for a room that doesn’t face the road. …

The place is very easy to get to. And a great location too. Check in and out was a breeze. The room is clean and spacious. The toilet has a tub which is awesome to wind down in with a bath. Couldnt ask for a better place to stay in Banska!

Conveniently located only a few hundred meters from the main square and the pedestrian district. The hotel has own parking behind the hotel. It's more like an apartment hotel. Our room was equipped with a kitchen and basic kitchen ware for making food. The breakfast was served in a cafe besides the hotel and included all essentials for a start of the day. A good option and worth the price.

Location of this residence is very good for exploration of city center- in the near of the main square and also not far from the SNP Memorial Museum. Parking is in closed courtyard accessible on demand through the gate very next to main entrance. Lady at the reception desk is very nice, helpful and obliging. The building is equipped with an elevator. Rooms are in a simply design - not very fancy, but very tidy and clean. It's possible to get only breakfast here, but due to location in the town center there's no problem to visit any restaurant nearby. Overall- good value for the money in Banská Bystrica

Good value for money hotel, 3 min. walk from the historic square. The hotel has limited free parking, so you need to book this in advance. We stayed here 3 nights in July 2017 in a spacious Superior Studio (room 37) with kitchenette and enough space for another bed (so we stayed here with 3 people). Excellent, free WiFi. Very friendly staff and good breakfast buffet. There is no airconditioning but they had put a fan in our room. There is excellent lighting in the toom. Good shower but very disappointing beds. The room has a wooden floor and looks clean but when you walk around barefoot, they will be dirty in a few minutes !

Nice hotel, large and clear rooms, good price / quality, good location, friendly staff. I came so far only in winter - the rooms were warm and I'm staying for 1 night only; for this purpose it is my first pick in Banska Bystrica.
