Bad service, unprofessional staff, unclean rooms that are not cleaned at all, poor quality beds - old and worn. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Someone should check the categorization of this hotel.
Service was terrible. The room where dirty and more like an Old 2star than 4star. The food was not good. The people gave a bad service and where rude, including the owner. I would not recommend this place to Anyone. The only thing that was allright was the spapart, everything Else very bad. Not satisfied at all. Comparing to 3star hotels everywhere Else around the world this was way worse than any of them.
Prices are not in harmony with the quality of service. Average kitchen at a very high price. The quality of the room is 3 stars, but it is very noisy due to the thinness of the walls. Service is completely average. We expected a lot more from this hotel. Images and advertisements are not based on reality. Remember, tip is included in the price!
Pros: Excellent location, nice room with a good view, comfy bed, extraordinary wellness section (3 floors) with hot tub, inner pool, outer pool, saunas, salt room, gym. Well yes. This is how a wellness section should be. Staff is overall young age as of now, but always trying to be kind an helpful. Cons: Passive agressive text warning that you need to pay for everything (which is obvious without highlighting) which really sets the mood but in a wrong way. Not to talk about the moldy bottles (not operating withtout the room card so it gets hot then cold frequently, really disgusting) "consume only those thing you purchased at the hotel, if you do not agree you should leave the premises" "if you use the mini fridge in the room for anything else than the hotel filled products, you'll be charged with extra" etc. "make sure you are using one parking spot otherwise we will charge you the extra space" Not that i do not agree with most of this, but it is bit offensive for normal human beings. Vacuum cleaner and room maintenance should be improved. I really like peanuts but not under my bed. Exhaust fan in the shower clogged with dust. Disgusting... really takes about a minute of two to clean it during the daily maintenance. Breakfast is kind of 80s style, no proper ligthning in a windowless conference room. Mostly empty food containers, needed to ask staff to re-fill, eventhough there are usually 4-5 people serving for 10-12 guests. Overall it was an enjoyable experience for us with mixed feelings, might return someday.…
Három nap két éjszakát töltöttünk Édesapámmal ezen a csodás helyen. A szálloda meseszép környezetben található, a miskolci barlangfürdőtől alig 100 méterre. We’ve spent 3 days at this wonderful place with my father. The hotel is placed in a fairy tale nature.Just about a 100m far from the famous Cave Spa.Comfortable air conditioned rooms spiced with a HUGE wellness site. All employees are very kind and professionals. The restaurant is perfect without doubt.Congratulations to the owners because their heart and soul of catering can be found in every aspect of the hotel. Everybody should try it!…
I had a lovely stay at this hotel, which was booked as a surprise getaway for my birthday. I had the most amazing couple of days staying here, that I felt I needed to write a review. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would like to give a special mention to the older gentleman waiter in the restaurant, who was so polite and attentive! This leads me on to the food, which was delicious and very filling for a good price. We had lunch&dinner in the ‘A la carte’ restaurant and the buffet breakfast in the morning. A previous review mentioned the bacon was ‘too fat&thickly cut’ for breakfast. It’s actually called ‘csàszàrszalonna’ it’s not bacon, but similar and tastes delicious.. The room was modern and clean, with a mini bar and television. The bed was comfy and we didn’t have a problem with smell? Unlike some of the other reviews. We stayed in room 218. A lovely place to relax, with a big terrace. The hotel itself is (literally a 2 minute walk) very close to the ‘Cave Bath of Miskolctapolca’ and ‘Avalon Park’ which has an INSANE go cart track. Overall a very peaceful location. We are thinking about coming back in August this year (hopefully) for a second visit.…
The place is a little complex and complicated.... Is a bit tricky to get from one side to another... It offers a wellness service as well even they are just 2 minutes away from the Cave bath landmark. The breakfast is OK, but not impressive. Parking on site is available.
If you are looking for just food and accommodation, it is a nice hotel to stay. Parking is easy (if you pay, you can park in closed, guarded parking). Walking distance from the Cave Spa, close to nature, far from the centre with super nice room with big balcony (and apparently with not so eye catching view), helpful staff. But if you would like to enjoy the wellness qualities, don't choose this place. The welcome drink was awful, breakfast is nice (they have gluten free bread), but dinner was less than average (with quick frost fried cheese slices from the supermarket), and the wellness was a disaster. You get a bath robe, which is great, but not enough against the cold in the winter time when you walk all the way from your room, pass the glass windows, some stairs, again some windows and stairs, and stairs again, then reception, then stairs again finally reaching the wellness - after some additional stairs. Infra sauna can be used if you pay, Kneipp pool if you pay, and generally speaking: all facilities are available only half a day (steam bath and bio sauna from 4PM, jakuzzi on request etc). There is no drinking water available around the sauna, you are only allowed to consume food and drinks bought from the staff, there is no means to take a shower or cool down next to the sauna, you need to take a walk to get to a shower cabin, the floor has tiny concrete particles that stick on your sole if you try to enter the sauna barefoot.…
Pro: Position great just opposite Cave bath. Personel very helpful, half board excellent, great choice of meals, regards to chef. Breakfast also very good. Wellness center ok. Not good: no bell boy to help with luggage, especially if You park for free on the back of hotel. Also some English language signs would be fine. Also no place to park car temporary bcs hotel van was at etrance, so in the morning we had to carry luggage all the way up.So better to say big 4+ and it's worth every penny.
The good things about this hotel is the location is fabulous so close to the strand and bus stop. The food was good and the staff were friendly especially the older gentleman in the restaurant. The rooms are nicely decorated. The bad things... upon booking we got the room for 38,000ft half board and this price was advertised as “today’s best deal” however within one hour of booking I went back to the website to look at booking another room and the same package I had just booked was being sold for 27,000ft! I understand the price change in 24hrs but not so soon. This is false advertising and is extremely rude. The bathroom in room 218 has a awful sewage smell which was being masked by a air freshener in the air vents so it smelt like poo and flowers! The view from the room was a service area that was scruffy and dirty. There were broken floor tiles in the lobby and water damage to the ceilings. We had to walk through a dark storage area to get to our room. The English translation in the SAFETY and hotel information book were very very poorly translated and as a native English speaker I couldn’t figure out what some of it said. We wanted to use the outside pool areas which was our main reason for booking this hotel. In the pictures it looks lovely but the reality is very disappointing. The outdoor areas are neglected and scruffy. I appreciate that someone is making an attempt to better this hotel but there is a long way to go yet. I’m sorry but I would not stay here again. There are nicer hotels in Miskolctapolca for the similar price. …
