It is a nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms and nice staff. It is 9n a walk8ng distance to Old town, but its location is in a small and not very nice street. I felt a bit unconfortable walking to the hotel in the evening.
We just returned from 5 days in Gyor whilst we attended a swimming competition in the Acua Park Centre. The hotel was very clean, warm and the staff very friendly. They accommodated several requests we had without hesitation. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The included breakfast has a very decent selection too. It was an easy walk to the swimming pool and also a 20-30 minute walk into the town centre which we did each evening.
stayed here a week on a business trip.it is quite, offering rooms and apt with old style furniture but clean and fully equipped. breakfast is good, well sorted. just a walking distance from city center and mall.
Hi, we spent 2 nights here. Never want to visit again. This hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel but this is not. Family apartman is not a part of the "hotel" but in a building nearby. Family apartman is too small. I had a bed at the living room and my wife slept in the room because there was only one bed. Not enough parking spaces. No restaurant. (Breakfast is in front of the reception. 4 tables max. This is not a 4 star hotel much more a guest house. We felt cheated when we left.
Hotel Isabell is located about 10 minutes’ walk from the centrum of Györ. It is a small family run hotel where the staff speaks Hungarian, English and German. The staff was very service minded and were ready to help. The location itself did not leave many impressions, though it is worth to say that it was a nice and silent area, where you had no problems with noise from the surrounding areas.
Beautiful, little charming hotel in Györ. Very clean and bright, a modernized accommodation in a historic city. Room was a nice size with spacious bathroom! Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety...eggs, ham, fruit, biscuits, etc. Staff was very helpful and friendly. A+
This was my husbands first trip to his place of birth since the uprising in 1956. What a wonderful City. We found everything he wanted to find right on our doorstep. From the nursery he attended to the factory in which his mother worked and lots in between. Wonderful Hotel with wonderful staff. We were made to feel so welcome. Special thanks to Aranka. Marika, Kato and all the excellent staff who made our stay so special. Not forgetting Gabor who helped with the mountain bikes which enabled us to cover so much distance. Gyor is a beautiful City which has a calm about it that doesn't reflect its troubled past. I would recommend both the City and the lovely Hotel Isabell.
Having stayed at this hotel last August, I pretty much knew what to expect. One receives a much better personable reception than from one of the larger chains such as Ibis, or Raba. Rooms are somewhat sparse (no coffee maker, smaller bath) but exceptionally clean and well designed. Refrigerator is stocked, and pay on the honor system. Even ice is provided if you ask for it. Met the manager this time, and Katalin is extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean dining and entry foyer, and breakfast is provided with the room. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and some other items are available 24 hours a day. The only charge I was not aware of is the 7 Euro charge added to the room if you do use the dining room for coffee other than at breakfast. I was not charged this the last time I stayed. A little difficult to find, so GPS is helpful. The surrounding area is somewhat rundown, but in some stages of recovery. Isabell was completely renovated about three years ago.Definitely an alternative to staying in Budapest, and a lot less traffic.…
