The best place for a perfect wedding. The Achilles Parc is the most attractive wedding destination I ever seen. The accomodations for our guests in the small wood houses were very cosy, the food is amazing, the catering is very professional friendly. We can recommend this wonderful place for everyone, who would like to have an unique wedding place!
We attended a wedding here with our family and were really happy with the location. Yes as it has a lake next to it and it’s surrounded by a forest it is going to have mosquitoes. Yes, it has small huts and offers low budget lodgings. And yes it offers playground, bar, sandy volleyball and beach ball pitch with giant chess, fishing opportunities and so on... for this price I think this is value for money especially if someone does not put their expectations too high. Very modest, small rooms, but for a one night wedding stay it was excellent for us. So much that we will return.
Is the second time that I spend a night in this accomodation with my family. Basicly the hut that we lived, it was full of mosquitos. And there was an scorching heat, without a ventilator...Of course the breakfast that it is inkluded in, was a poor one! I don't think that in my next trip, will use that accomodation again...
One night and the breakfast there was enough to get the idea how it is like there. The road to this park is very, lets put it like this, very different. Road itself is not promising but when you finally come there, it is very nice and cozy. People are very nice and open, it seems that they really care.
After booking I was contacted by the owners to inform that although booked they didn't have availability for the first day so I agreed to change dates and rescheduled my itinerary. They offered a free meal as recompense. Even though I had no intention of taking them up on the offer it was reassuring to know there was a restaurant as we planned to eat there. On arrival we were met by a man who spoke no English and couldn't find our booking. it turned out later that we had been charged a cancellation fee for a 'no show' as we didn't turn up on the day I had originally booked and which they stated they had no availability. The accommodation itself was a glorified shed, with minimal light, a TV that didn't work (hadn't planned to use it anyway) and a poky, not too clean bathroom. There were no tables or chairs. For what we had in the way of accommodation I felt it was overpriced. We have stayed at similar properties before, all much cheaper. To term the shed (or bungalow as it is elevated to in the literature) 'lake side' was a bit liberal with the truth. If one stood on tip toe on the patio it could be seen. The 'campsite' itself is in the middle of nowhere. We waited for the restaurant to open but gave up by 7.30 as we had a young child who was hungry. Our booking was also supposed to include breakfast. The people in the shed next to ours went looking for it but left hungry as there was not sign of it opening up. At 8.00am we went looking for breakfast as well with the same result by which stage we decided that we wouldn't bother to stay the 4 days we had booked. As we drove out there was still no one who spoke English to explain why my credit card had had a large sum of money taken from it for the apparent 'no show'. Will not be staying here again.…
The accommodation smart and funny. The beach is nice and clean. The lake is not large but adequate. There are a lot of sports and games. Middle of the lake with a pier is moving. From there you can jump. The lake is very deep. The restaurant is acceptable. A simple patio grill. The dishes are delicious but nothing special. Appropriate price and value ratio. I miss the music. I recommend to those who want to do good bargains! Not expensive and good in comparison! People do not steal. It's safe.
