The location is great, 5 minutes walk from Szépasszony völgy, with lot of wine cellars, 15 minutes walk from Turkish spa. Our room was not in the main building, it was a little shabby, but clean. There is a kitchen to be used by the guests staying in the rooms of that building, we stayed in cake smell for a day. We were glad they didn't make french fries. :) Breakfast was good, the eggplant cream was great. One coffee is for free for breakfast, poor quality from coffee machine. Dinner is below average. One soup, two main dishes and one dessert to choose from, each one is only acceptable. You can drink wine for free for the dinner, we tasted white and rosé, they were very poor quality. Late in the evening we tried the heated hot tub outside, it has a great atmosohere. I recommend it for 1-2 days relax, but not for special occassions.

I really enjoyed my stay in Eger, this is a lovely romantic city . The location of the hotel is great just above the valey of the beautiful women and compare to prices of other hotels Rubinia is a perfectly great value! There is a small spa, table tennis, pool and many other games that we enjoyed. Take a room at the main building even if its cost a little bit more.
Thanks for the stuff if you will ever read this...and hope to visit next year. I would love to take a view again from the panoramic landscape from the balcony

We received a reasonable price for a three night stay with half-board. Our room was spacious and a little worn, but it was ok. The breakfast was a bit below average, once we received the bakery from previous day (crescent roll). The hotel has no kitchen, so he order the supper from a nearly tavern and later heat it in a microwave oven. Most of the meals are fried meats and french fries, these foods are really terrible after re-heating. The location of the hotel is very good, close to Szépasszony völgy.

It's not a hotel. It's B&B only in old east-european style. Wi-Fi and AC are only in main building. Price is not adequate to standard. Small and dirty rooms. Bathroom without amenities. Poor breakfest - nothing warm and hot without tasteless tea and coffe. Early check-out.
On the end some good about hotel - quiet localisation near wine valley, swimming pool, billiards and other games, private parking.

pros: nice location, cheap price, table tennis, sauna
cons: no daily cleaning! (needed to use same towels :S), no cleaning in sauna and hot tube (water in hot tube was very smelly, and strange color), crappy food (dont even think to ask for dinner, they give you very low quality food), non-professional staff

i think the whole place is ideal for school groups or backpackers, but not for adult travellers.

It was our second visit in hotel Rubinia, and i must say the hotel has changed for the better. The stuff is much more hospitable and kind. The Wi-Fi service was improved and fun activities such as soccer table, badminton and dart game were added for children to play.
The hotel is located on the mountain hillside, overlooking the famous valley in Eger, the valley of the beautiful lady. It is a wonderful place full of wine cellars and traditional Hungarian restaurants. If you want a quit setup for your vacation with traditional Hungarian ambient, Rubinia hotel is the right hotel for you.

Despite reading bad reviews before visiting we thought we give this hotel the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately we had the same complaints and opinions that other reviewers had. The bed was noisy and the fridge in the room kept dripping. The only decent part was the breakfast and the staff. The food was a typical hungarian breakfast which was adequate and the staff were friendly. The decor was outdated however and the bathroom was tiny. Whilst having a shower the hot water jumped from luke warm to scolding hot hence burning my partners chest.

The hotel it is a bit outdated. The rooms are nicely furnished, but toiletts are not clean enough. Breakfast is included in the price, but it is not the best one. There are only a few persons in the staff, they handle a lot of things, but due to this they cannot pay attention to everything ex. During breakfast the hot water was not refilled.

The room was not at all state-of-the-art. Old fridge, creaking bed, ants in the bathroom and "special-looking" shower speak for themselves. On the other hand, the food was really good (we had half board) and wines served at dinner were just delicious. Wellness was small but satisfactory (one sauna, one jacuzzi). Staff were OK but didn´t really speak English (my partner speaks Hungarian so it wasn´t a big issue for us). The location of the hotel is quite good - 15 mins walk to the centre and just above the Valley of the Beautiful Women. Eger is renowned for its good wine so it is a good idea to go there if you like it. We also liked the historical town and its Christmas market was just charming.
