We stayed at season hostel for only one night but it was a very special stay. We got at the hostal by night and the stuff at the reception was very nice and helpful, we could choose to pay the stay in euros or in hungarian forint. We had a four people room with bunk beds and a beautiful street...

The room was dirty and the staff were unfriendly. They ask to move to Season II which is not the room in the booking site, and not responsible for any transport to get there. They also charged more than what it was mentioned in the before. Not recommended

We payed 36 euro for a twin room, however we were presented with a 6 person room to ourselves which was a little odd. It's not exactly what we payed for. We were charged 40 euro upon arrival, they stated that there was a 4 euro deposit for the bed linen. However when we were leaving, we asked for the...

The location is excelent, the hostel can look a bit old and rusty in the beginning but once you're in, its a nice and cozy place with really friendly staff, the showers were ok but he kitchen its not so good, too small for a whole hostel, anyway my experience was really great, and you are paying 7 euros after...

When I arrived at Season Hostel, I was worried! The front door was rusty and the sign was written on a piece of A4 paper and stuck on the door. The court yard we were lead in to was tired looking and had planks of wood and other bits and pieces everywhere. However, this turned out to be a great...

I really liked season hostel, particularly due to the friendly staff. They were very helpful and detailed us on the different places to go and how to get around. The rooms and facilities are very basic but it's a hostel, what do you expect? I was a little bit wary of the showers which didn't have shower curtains but a...

Perhaps I am being a tad harsh on the Season hostel but it wasn't that great but lets start with the positives. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely, so polite, would answer all our questions, give us advice etc etc. On hostelworld the main thing that let them down was service, so either the reviewers of hostelworld are all...

I lived for 5 months in Budapest and I love the city and I used to live in the Buda part of the city, in the kerulet I. I love it! It's quite, near the most beautiful buildings of the city and well communicated by public transport. This time, I was back to Budapest to attend to the Sziget Festival......

we stayed there 3 nights. we we're absolutely thrilled by the location. it's in Buda, just a few streets away from the medieval part of Budapest. if u go a few streets in the direction of the Danube, there it is, right in front of your eyes: the Parliament, in all it's beauty. Very close to Moszkva Ter - central...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
