I will start off being positive. The hotel is a lovely building set back off the main busy street. The room I had was a suite which was nice and spacious. It is a bit dated I have to say. The shower is a pain as if you’re under 5ft 8 you can stand underneath it. Over that height forget it and you have to hand held it to wash yourself. I’m 6ft 2. The shower screen is useless and it actually floods the bathroom . So that really needs updating. The gym is small with most of the cardio machines not working but minimal exercise is possible with the free weight. Swimming pool is fine, not very big but you can swim a couple of lengths. Jacuzzi is nice and the sauna is very small, probably max 3 people at a time. Breakfast was good and I actually love the surroundings and the atmosphere in that room. Very 1920s feel to it and the music makes the atmosphere. Staff are ok. The guys don’t have a lot say to you but the young lady who works there is very smiley and friendly.
I’ve also stayed at the Corinthia around the corner which is most defo a 5 star hotel. In comparison this is nearer to a 3 star, 4 at a push.

let me start with saying that the staff was really nice and polite. they helped us with every request we had.
the hotel is clearly not a 5 star one, maybe a 3 or 4 at best, but it's nice, with good prices (at least for our stay),clean rooms and quite central.
the room was a little small but also clean. it was strange that we had a mini fridge but it was empty and never filled on our whole stay there, even if the prices were displayed above the fridge. I can't really complain about this as the closest store was around the corner (1 minute away literally) and you could go and buy whatever you wanted.
one huge advantage, from my point of view, is the location. you are close to a lot of tourist spots and restaurants.
the spa was also nice and I had no problem with the schedule (4-10 pm) as it was nice to go to jacuzzi and sauna after a long walk.
the parking alley is a little tight, but it's nice that you have it right under the hotel and it's always monitored.

A truly beautiful place to stay, you simply feel that you are in Luxury - which you certainly are! We were greeted by a very attentive, friendly member of staff after we arrived at night, a little late from our delayed flight. We had a truly beautiful stay here, the pool day being one of our most cherished ; gorgeous facilities, the swimming pool is lovely along with an amazing jacuzzi, the hotel lobby smells amazing enfused with different oils. Our room was an apartment layout, spacious and just what we needed for our stay. Our beds were very comfortable. The shower was very good, loved that the bathroom has a "getting-ready" dressing table feeling, with a small mirror with a light on it. There is an option to arrange to have breakfast there once you get to the hotel, but alternatively there are many "spar" supermarkets in the are. The facilities here have got to be 5 stars - Plenty of complimentary shampoos , conditioners, body washes and even gifted us with an essential oil to use for the room. The words I would give this place are elegant and professional. We would definitely come back here. It's an easy, lovely stay.

I’m not surprised that this hotel won the Trip Advisor award for best hotel in 2012 as the room we had was a suite consisting of a lounge , kitchen area, dining area and large bedroom. It was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The draw back is that it caters really for those wanting to self cater and have an apartment stay. This was not made clear on the website. Finding the hotel is very difficult as it has no kerbside presence, it is hidden up a side path with hardly any signage. In no way does it meet a 5 Star rating for someone wanting a luxury hotel experience. To illustrate this point there was no complimentary tea/coffee / milk in the room despite there being a fully equipped kitchen. We were provided with one small mini bottle of shampoo and an equivalent bottle of lotion, this was for two people staying for three nights. The bathroom had a washing machine in it but no separate shower, the bath/ shower was antiquated and needs updating. The staff on arrival were unsure of how to book us in told us we had not paid (when we had) and generally were not very helpful. The restaurant is tiny and there is no bar. The swimming and “ spa facilities “ are run down and lack atmosphere. All in all a two star experience.

If you are booking through any of the booking sites, do not trust the pictures (they seems to be very nice). Hotel is not a 5*, not even close. Maybe 3* would be more accurate. It has not been maintained for a long time and everything is just worn out and dirty. The staff is helpful though, but that cannot really compensate for the overall disappointment.
Location of the hotel is OK, it is a dirty street though and could be unpleasant for some, but it is close to restaurants and center of the city.
The pool is nice, but do not expect to sit there during afternoon, there are just three pool chairs, so go for swim and leave attitude is applied.
Overall the current post-covid price is probably reasonable, but the 5* claims are misleading and not fair. I'm not going to come to this hotel again.

We booked 3 nights, a “suite” including breakfast and parking cost 300 CHF. This price did not live up to our expectations.
The location is ok, the public transport in Budapest is very efficient.
The room was very clean, pillows in the bedroom rather uncomfortable, but nice bath towels. The decor is old, lighting not contemporary, the couch in the living room very uncomfortable, the room is obstructed by a huge floor lamp.
Many German TV channels. But WiFi underground, slowly, with interruptions. A complaint was settled with a bottle of wine and an apology, it didn't get any better. The lift is a joke for a hotel of this size. Long waiting times. The breakfast was really good and the staff there excellent and friendly. However, the breakfast room is very small, the tables small, guests often have to wait until a seat becomes available. It's too bad.
I don't know where the 5 stars are hidden, we didn't find them

It wasn’t the best ‘first impression’ arriving at the hotel. We were served by an older man and he clearly didn’t like the english. I stood there waiting as a couple were in front of me sorting their room, another couple came in a good 5 minutes after and he chose to ignore me and tried to serve them first. This was the second time he did this (once when we arrived to drop bags and the second when we asked for our room key). I was not happy at all. I haven’t let this situation reduce my rating as all other staff were lovely.
From a hotel point of view, its most defiantly not a 5 star hotel. Its very average but comfortable. A decent location and doesn’t break the bank. We got what we paid for. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of food and drinks. They don’t have a bar area currently so that would have been nice to wait for our room but we had to go out and find somewhere for the sake of 25 minutes.
Location wise, around 1 mile to the Christmas Market area and shops, 1.1-1.3 miles to the cruise boats. We walked most places.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay again, but it was an average hotel for a 3 night stay.

A sublime accommodation experience with all the frills. Set in the heart of Budapest, one has easy access to all of the tourism hotspots in this timeless central European city. The wellness offerings of this unique boutique hotel are second to none with its heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and massage therapists. The staff are fully tuned into serving the guests and offering a holistic top notch hotel experience. The rooms are luxurious, with state of the art furnishings and facilities. Our superior king suite came complete with a spacious lounge and fully equipped kitchenette. The king sized bed and spacious bedroom which opened onto the balcony added to the luxurious experience. Room service is offered throughout the day and night but best of all is the phenomenal breakfast offerings in the Chess Restaurant. Wow!

We checked in around 8.30 on a Sunday evening. The gentleman on reception was involved in a heated discussion with another guest about parking and the room rate so was very dismissive when we checked in. We thought we’d booked breakfast online but we hadn’t so queried how much this would be, he said 28 euros for the trip and we queried if this was the whole trip and not per day to which he said yes. However when we came to check out we were told it was per person per day (the breakfast is in no way worth this amount in fact one day there was a hair in the breakfast). We clearly queried this and were told in a very condescending way ‘well that would be cheap for 5 star’. We said yes we thought that which is why we had queried it. Despite there being CCTV on reception, which I’m assuming they could check, we had to pay a rate of 18 euros each per person per night and told well he has worked here a few months! The hotel in itself is lovely but I wouldn’t trust a word they say!

Dear Compass19680912153, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay, particularly regarding the confusion over the breakfast charge and the service you received upon check-in. This is certainly not the standard of service we strive to provide. We are sorry to hear about the miscommunication concerning the breakfast rates. Your feedback is valuable and will be reviewed with our team to ensure such misunderstandings do not occur in the future. Regarding your check-in experience, we regret that our staff member's involvement in another discussion affected your welcome. This situation does not reflect our commitment to excellent customer service, and we will address this with the individual involved to improve our service. We appreciate your kind words about the hotel itself and its amenities. We hope you will consider staying with us again so we can provide you with the exceptional service you deserve. The Queen’s court hotel is a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our stay from check in until check out. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Adam who was a great host and offered to take our bags to the room which was so nice of him. The room was beautiful, the en-suite with a beautiful vanity mirror and extending mirror to get ready and a powerful shower. We received a lovely welcome note along with a complimentary gift in the room on arrival which was so thoughtful. We also were given robes and slippers in the room on arrival which was nice touch, especially to use for the spa. The thermal spa was absolutely lush.

The beds were comfy and the room had great amenities and was very clean. Great selection in the mini bar, while we did not have any of the mini bar snacks they looked delicious. The hotel lobby was tastefully decorated and lovely for entrance as well as the courtyard and there was a lovely smell throughout the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and we felt like Queens throughout our stay and looked after, the staff were chatty and took their time to check in on how we were doing and made up feel very welcome. Particularly at the end of our stay when they asked us how we found our stay and genuinely wanted us to have a great time.

There was a gentle music playing in the courtyard outside which created a desirable ambiance. The breakfast selection of Continental and cooked options was absolutely exquisite, such a great variety and was so fresh and delicious, the cooked options were so tasty too. Especially the selection of bread, fruit and sweet treats with amazing jam. Anna-Maria at breakfast was so kind and took the time to acknowledge us and was so friendly and had a lovely way about her.

We had drinks from the bar in the evenings and they have amazing cocktails here. All of the little touches added up and made a big impact. Overall we felt very looked after and it was such a beautiful stay thank you to all the staff at the Queen’s court for making our stay so special, would highly recommend this hotel.
