We did with our family a city trip to Budapest, which is something I can recommend everybody. Just don't stay in the Boscolo. Do visit the hotel and look at the stunning reception hall or building from the outside. We did not have breakfast included, but we could have it for 20€, which is incredibily expensive, if you learn to...

We stayed here for three nights in April. The stay was average - while the hotel foyer and The New York Cafe are fairly impressive there is a lack of cleanliness. The housekeeping staff could do with giving the whole place a deep clean. The duvets on the bed were not good quality and the carpets in the room left...

From entering the reception to your bedroom this hotel is beautiful. Staff on reception very friendly. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and spotless as was the whole hotel. The New York Café is a sight to behold. The whole area is stunning especially the ceiling. Very ornate. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. About a twenty minute walk...

We came to Budapest for a nice long weekend getaway from London and booked this hotel as it seemed to be close to all sites and good restaurants. And What a pleasant surprise. The staff were more than friendly and willing to help with everything. The famous New York restaurant is part of the hotel so there was no queuing...

My wife, daughter and I visited Budapest during the first week in April and stayed at the Boscolo for three nights. We had two suites on the 5th floor, which were absolutely beautiful. The staff was extraordinarily attentive and helpful, and the hotel amenities were just wonderful. The New York Cafe served a very nice breakfast. In addition to all...

A truly royal place, incredibly beautiful. Its New York cafe is world-famous, so make sure you enjoy their sweet delicacies. The only thing is - take warm clothes if you are going there in winter. The hotel is huge and with high ceilings. You may need extra warmth there.

This hotel is fantastic, the staff are efficient and pleasant and spoke perfect English. Without asking, we were upgraded to a beautiful junior suite. The hotel is very opulent and quite unusual, being built with open walkways around the grand atrium. The cocktail bar is well worth a visit, its like being transported back in time to the 19th century....

I cannot imagine staying at a better hotel in Budapest. It was beautiful, comfortable, the staff was fabulous, it was not expensive. The people at the desk, especially the concierge, were top notch and had great advice on places to go and things to do and were very helpful with reservations. Not one complaint.

My wife and I went to Budapest with some friends recently. It was shortly after one of the friend's 40th birthdays so we booked this hotel as a treat. The price was really good though at less than 100 euro per night which isn't bad for a 5-start hotel. Check in was easy and our rooms were available early which...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
