My wife and I have just enjoyed a 3 night stay at the boscolo in Budapest. Firstly may I say what a beautiful city Budapest is. Secondly, the boscolo is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. Prior to our arrival we emailed the hotel direct, where my wife informed them that we will be celebrating my birthday... This is an absolutely beautiful hotel! In a fantastic location and easy to walk everywhere. I was debating staying closer to the water, but it is an easy walk, and I am glad I chose this hotel. Even if you don't stay here, try the NY Cafe located inside just to get a feel of luxury. We only had dessert... More

Fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel. Staff were brilliant and the best spa treatment you could wish for. Thanks to all staff for making our stay the best, nothing was too much trouble. Could not have wanted anything more.

This hotel is very good located. Is a beautiful building with famous cafe New York. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. We also visited SPA and we had a massage with Hungarian mud, it was really excellent. Highly recommended.

A stunning hotel in a great part of town and very conveniently located to public transportation. The hotel is beautiful inside and out but, most importantly, you can tell that it's very well run. You can constantly see staff cleaning, repairing, updating the property throughout the day. As a Marriott Platinum I was upgraded to the Junior Suite which just... More

Located in a beautiful, historic building. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The top floor also has a balcony with the view of the city. Room rates were also pretty reasonable for a five star hotel. Enjoyed our stay here!

After a disappointing stay for the first two nights of our trip to Budapest, it's safe to say entering the doors of this hotel was a welcome change. The building is immense, so beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were more than happy to arrange hotel/airport transfers for us. The hotel itself is magnificently kept, the room... More

Great service from this hotel especially from the Concierge. They helped organise theatre tickets, taxis and restaurants. Always pleasant and easy to deal with. The hotel itself is beautiful, the architecture is wonderful. The New York Cafe is breathtaking and many tourists came to see the hotel if they were not staying there. We found the menu a little limited... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
