This hotel is on the tiny side, maybe 14 rooms on the 3rd floor of a beautiful building. It is right on Kossuth Lajos utca which is a super-busy street and all rooms face the road, but the windows, when closed blocked out all the noise. The rooms were small but spotless and they served a basic breakfast (with jet-fuel-like...

When staying in Budapest and you will find this hotel in front of a metro. We took the train to Budapest and after two stops, we exited the metro in front of the hotel. The hotel even has a lift! The hotel is perfectly planned with beautifully appointed rooms that are stocked with toiletries, coffee pot with instant coffee and...

As the title says the location in Budapest could not be better than this hotel. The building it is in is behind two securely gated doors which bolstered my confidence in our safety while staying there. The men working on reception were very polite and spoke perfect English. The only reason this doesn't get a full five star review from...

Excellent location for exploring Budapest, close to transportation if required. Comfortable, large room with basic breakfast included to keep you going all day. Friendly and helpful staff. Front desk printed several tickets for us which was helpful so we didn't need to find somewhere to do this. Overall, an excellent choice in Budapest.

Nice and lovely hotel in the heart of the city. You can feel the history of the building while walking the old stairs to the 2nd floor to the reception. For the lazy ones theres a lift with old iron gates. The location is perfekt near the river and many bridges. Old town is a walk away over the bridge...

Highly recommended hotel with perfect location, nice staff and clean rooms. There is a lovely old lady at the hotel which almost did our stay by herself. She gave us a lot of smiles and kept on talking to us in Hungarian even though we doesn't know one word of it. My only opposition is the breakfast which was rather...

For a three star hotel, this property definitely exceeded all of my expectations. Upon arrival you enter a beautiful old wrought iron lift which takes you to the second floor where the hotel is located. You are greeted by a warm, professional smile. The property is impeccably clean and always smells fresh. The rooms exceeded all expectations. The view from...

We stayed at the Leo Panzio for four nights. It was clean. The room was really small and the bed really not big enough for the two of us. We asked for two separates beds but they said that there are no rooms left. After all. Clean room, to small, not what we were looking for.

Across the street from the Franciscan Church, Leo Panzio is an off-the-beaten-path-finder's dream. It's an easy bus ride from the Budapest-Keleti train station. We almost missed the inconspicuous entrance, but clear directions provided before we arrived helped us buzz through the large outer doors and a second stairwell door to behold a working vintage elevator; I felt like I'd stepped...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
