Booked two rooms, one for me and my partner, and the other for friends who were getting in late. Booked in early and got keys to both rooms, all good, got settled into one room, and checked the other room, fine too. Just before they were due to arrive, I went to pop into their room and turn their air-con...

Overall it was comfortable and good value, we liked our room though it was not cleaned everyday. The was ok and plentiful and the receptionist was nice enough to print our coach voucher. However, the lift broke down a couple of times so we had to walk four flights of stairs which was okay for us but might be a...

We booked this hotel due to price and location. Was slightly concerned after reading some disappointing reviews, but we found the hotel fine. It is a two minute walk from a main street with bars, restaurants, shops and tram routes, there are also a number of luxury hotels nearby. The decor is dated, but the hotel was always clean throughout....

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
