Old Hotel very well updated, keeping the clasic style. Large room with very space. Excellent service, very kind personnel. They accepted to add one bed last night without be noticed in advance. I recommend this Hotel.

The hotel was very pleasant to stay in. The food buffet was rich and tasty. The room was clean and even with the room facing the main street the noice was completely blocked out. The hotel atmosphere was a genuine 19th century one giving our stay an additional pleasure.

Great hotel, great location, great staff (especially front desk). Comfortable room. Did not try wifi, so no pros or cons. Shuttle from airport dropped off and picked-up in front of hotel. Location felts safe with easy access to river and main pedestrian locations. Would recommend.

I chose this hotel because a friend was staying here at the time. It's in a great location and the rooms are nice. I asked for a high up room on a not busy street which is exactly what I had (although the room was still noisy). I have 3 issues with this hotel, all kind of minor but annoying... More

Great location being 5 metres from the subway (which is simple to use!) hotel was nice and room size was decent. The room was too hot though, had to sleep with the window open every night. Really recommend this hotel and would stay again. It's not far from the Jewish quarter which is the only other place I would look... More

Danubius Hotel Astoria has a perfect location. The hotel has an interesting history on the second war and the soviet ocupation. The staff was friendly. The only however was the room, that could be a little better, mainly considering the rest of the hotel, but it is confortable.

Central Location, Location, Location. The subway station entrance is under the hotel, the tram stop and bus stop are in front of the hotel. Many resurantnts and shopping close by. Older, Elegant hotel completely refurbished with large rooms and a huge breakfast buffet. One of my most enjoyable stays in a beautiful city.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
