We were transferred to this hotel after the hotel we were booked into was fully booked and it was part of the same group, we were glad we were. Situated a 5 minute walk from 2 metro stops and minutes away from the international bus station this hotel is 5-6 stops to central Budapest which takes about 10 minutes. All...

Overall a fairly good hotel for the price. We stayed here for one night after our overnight train was cancelled and we needed a place to sleep prior to the early morning bus. Positives: Very obliging staff who kept the restaraunt open late for us to have dinner and were happy to help us check out at 5:30 am. Handy...

This is a basic hotel that is ideal for a tourist who is only interested in a clean place to lay their head down for the night. As others have stated, the beds are hard. I didn't mind it so much because I like a harder mattress, but many in our group were complaining of back pain the next morning....

Clean basic hotel with easy access to subway. Only complaint: The mattress on our bed was like one you would expect on a cot in a boy scout camp -- absoutely horrible! If you bring your own mattress, this would be an otherwise good place to stay.

I stayed here as part of a tour taking in Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Salzburg. As we arrived on our coach the Tour Director announced that the hotel had been built for the Millenium celebrations, I am just not sure which Millenium she was talking about. The lobby area is small but you get a suprise when exiting the lift...

This hotel is a ten minute walk and easy metro ride from the centre of Budapest. The rooms were satisfactory, although I do echo other writer's comments about the uncomfortable beds, the pillows and towels could also do with upgrading. The bar and restaurant areas were pleasant and the food was good but the hotel is situated on a duel-...

We stayed at the Tulip Inn for four nights recently as we were due to start a tour from there. As we'd arrived in Budpest two nights early, we thought staying there would be easier than changing hotels. Well it wasn' t terrible, but it sure as heck wasn't great either. The hard beds, as others had commented on, almost...

Do not stay at the Tulip! 1. The service was aweful. Dont ask for a club sandwich; 4" thick and 3 " of bread! 2. The rooms are serviced for coach parties but if you are an independent traveller staying for a week or more forget this hotel. Send you worst enemy for a week !!! 3. The breakfast service...

We stayed in this hotel as part of an Archer's tour of Eastern Europe. The hotel was within walking distance of an underground station but was otherwise pretty isolated. The rooms were average but the hotel is situated on a busy road so it can be noisy. The rooms were warm as it was 36 degrees but there was air...
