It was my first time in Budapest and I am very glad that I chose this hotel. I stayed here 6 nights and had the best sleep on the special Ibis hotel soft mattress and cushions. Even single rooms have double beds. The shower is big enough and comfortable. Just one inconvenience in the bathroom: there was no socket for... More

Walking into the Ibis Budapest City was like visiting an old friend - we haven't been before but we received the same warm welcome and facilities as in the other Ibis Hotels we have stayed at. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I contacted the hotel before we arrived to find out about the best way to get from... More

The bnreakfast had a good variety in order to start your day with energy and a nice coffe. However, the hotel is a little bit too noisy and the location not the... More

It is very easy to get around Budapest from this hotel, it is adjacent to metro station Blaha Lujza Ter and the two major tram routes through the city (4 and 6 - they are always busy). The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. We had a great stay there. There is no restaurant in... More

Very nice and clean hotel, very good service and breakfast. Great location - near Metro station (only 2 station from the center), tram station and travel bus (hop on hop off - the station near New York Cafe)

We stayed here for 3 days and found the location in central 'Pest' perfect. It was a €17 taxi ride from the airport when we arrived and a €9 taxi ride to the central train station when we left. The staff are very friendly and told us where to go and how to get there. The hotel itself is very... More

I travel quite often to Budapest with my wife to concerts or various interesting events. We are regular Ibis clients, and this hotel is particularly well positioned. It has a garage, it is in the heart of the city, and you can walk to a lot of great restaurants, cafes. The tube or bus stations are very close. The hotel... More

Very nice and clean room, good furniture, comfortable beds, lots of power outlets and good wifi. Breakfast is just okay. Reception is very helpful and they have tickets for most of the attractions of Budapest. Hotel is situated very close to the subway and lots of restaurants nearby. Overall good stay.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
