Room dark and dingy but at least quiet, bathroom definitely needs attention. Badly chipped bath, cracked tiles and poor shower screen causing very wet floor.Trouble getting shower button to work.Staff do not have a friendly attitude especially in dining room. A shame as the situation could not be better for shopping and sights etc.

This hotel is very nicely situated near the river, and the staff were welcoming at reception. Staff at reception also very helpful in advising how to get around the city, and took time to talk to me and my colleague which was much appreciated. The public parts of the hotel seemed pleasant. However, my room was awful - I don't...

So we arrived at midday to a sea of tourists in the lobby (let's say 40) and had to wait for them all to be booked in. I soon learned that this place has lots of group bookings for tour groups and, in fact, everytime I went down to the lobby there was yet another group of tourists so getting...

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a British Airways package to Budapest. The hotel has two qualities - standard and privilege - we were standard. The location is good being a short walk to the River Danube and within walking distance of the town center, as well as a good number of local restaurants and bars offering...

Very good location. OK breakfast. Not clean. Not good sleep. My first room was dirty (bathroom floor!. I could put some photos here, but these are not very nice things to see). Also, strong noise from the bathroom\s water pipes. Second room was OK, but very dark, facing the inner yard. Both rooms, I stayed at needed re-construction works - walls need...

The location of the Korona is privileged: a metro station right in front (you don't even need to cross the street), buses and trams in the corner, a museum one block away (I could actually see the museum from my room). And since it is located in the western part of Budapest, reaching the airport is easy and fast -...

Fabulous central location near plenty of restaurants, bars and only a 5 minute walk to the river. I can't comment on the food as didn't eat here. Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
