Having a free night, we spent it in Mercure Budapest Korona. Location and staff was perfect, as well as the dinner in Tokaj restaurant. The standard twin room was sufficient to meet our needs. We ordered breakfast to our room in the morning, it was like 5*! I am very happy to take the opportunity to try this hotel.

Really small rooms. Had to ask for a desk to work on, shower inside tiny bath. No door to my shower. Really small cupboards. Very clean and neat. Breakfast OK. Very central location. Thirty minutes to the airport and 1 minute to the train underground.

Very nice hotel close to the city center (PEST Side) and metro, nice room even if it starts to look a bit old. The hotel has a pool & sauna that were working well while we were there, it is a bit tricky to find it especially with the 2 buildings configurations ;-) The staff is nice and really helpful,

We stayed at the Mercure Korona for 5 nights. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are reasonable! It's the location of the hotel that makes it an attractive place to stay. It right on the centre which makes everything within walking distance! It is also right next to a major tramline stop, metro and bus stops which makes...

The location is great. Close to the central station, from there is possible to get everywhere by train or on foot. Restaurants, bars, minimarkets around. About The Bedroom, it feels like half one, so small it was, besides I'm petite. Maybe the bathroom was bigger... The window blackout dind't close for nothing. Terrible bed and pillows.I would never recomend these...

The hotel is ok adequate for our 3/ night stay over but would not have enjoyed a week in this room we were allocated, far too small for clothes suitcases etc, but the the hotel basics were fine on the whole. All requests were dealt with efficiently. The breakfast selection was quite basic I thought but the operating window for...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
