The hotel is in a convenient location in the center of the city. It's very close to the metro/subway and to many attractions. The breakfast at privilege bar was very nice, it has a great view, fine supply and lovely staff, I remember Adam. The only negative was the bad heating during breakfast, there was a bit chilly. I would...

Good basic accommodation fairly well located. Very helpful staff who speak excellent English. Rooms on the small side but clean and comfortable. Compact bathroom with over bath shower. Free internet access. Breakfast not included in our room rate was expensive but there is a good costa coffee shop 2 minutes walk away.

I stayed in the hotel for work over the New Year period. Everything worked well. Great central location and handy pool and sauna to relax in after work. The special service I wanted to mention was the return of my swimming goggles after leaving them in the pool area. Andrea Pataki in housekeeping organised for the goggles to be sent...

After traveling with a Trafalgar tour for 3 weeks we were excited at the prospect of staying at a Mercure hotel. We were greeted by a very accommodating receptionist and taken to our room by a friendly porter. To say that room is small would be an understatement, however as we planned on sightseeing and only sleeping in it, we...

The hotel is within walking distance to all the main streets, very easy to get to from the airport, the metro station is right outside the hotel. The room we stayed in was in the other building, across the bridge which is reached inside the hotel, it was quite warm even though it was 0 degrees outside and was a...

A decent and centrally placed Hotel. Close to the tram, the bus and the Metro station. And we always had taxi drivers avaliable in the front of the Hotel. We had a bad experience with dirty and smelly towels serveral times. The toilet of the hotelroom was not fresh and modern. And the rest of the hotelroom was okay, nothing...

This place is awful. Just...awful. Our family stayed in 2 rooms on the 8th floor of the "old" building, my parents in one room and me my husband and our 6 month old in the other. The rooms are hideous. The decor is drab and cheap and the walls, curtains and bedspread were dirty. The bed was 2 twins pushed...

I stayed at this hotel with friends 30.12.2016-03.01.2017, my wallet was in the room all the time and when I opened it on 02/01 I realized that 200€ disappeared! I asked the manager on duty to check who entered my room in order to investigate what has happened. He just told me "Our house keeper works here since a long...

I found the staff at the Mercure Korona unfriendly and unhelpful. I had the so called deluxe suite which had barely any furniture or cupboard space. Certainly not in anyway deluxe. The room overlooked the noisy tram tracks and the window closest to the bed would not shut. I had to ask 4 times before someone came to fix it....

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
