Great hotel. Stayed in a river view facing room, don't bother with any other room. Great location to be able to access both buda and pest! The views of the palace are great at night. Breakfast has a good selection. Many cheaper options for dinner within a very short walk. Room was very clean. Would defiantly visit again everything was...

This hotel is located in the middle of city and walking distance to many tourist attractions. I was able to walk out the front door and catch the hop-on/hop-off bus also. I was there for the Christmas markets; from this location, I only had to walk about 3 blocks to get there. The service was excellent; they helped my boyfriend...

Recently stayed for 5 nights at the Budapest InterContinental. January 18 - 23, 2015. The location could not be beaten. Right on the Danube and right across from the castle. Every morning the view was spectacular..even if the weather wasn't! Our room was not a riverview room, rather looked ovr another building above the British pub across the street. We...

We had a lovely stay. Great couple's massage after our long flight, a stroll around the chain bridge, castle, and other sites. The lounge was included in our room rate and it offered great food for breakfast and dinner with stunning views. The room was smallish, comfortable, and very luxurious. We moved around after this and found far more charming...

Stayed for 2 nights and found the staff very efficient and courteous. The restaurant served good food in the evening and the breakfast buffet was excellent with a large choice. The swimming pool in the spa, although not huge, was okay to do some lengths after a 3 hour flight. The room I had was on the Danube side and...

I love the Intercontinental brand and have stayed in their hotels all over the World and never been disappointed. This one isn't the best but it's not bad. Amazing views over to the other side of the river and the amazing castle and church. Casino just around the corner and plenty of good local restaurants. Room was fine but nothing...

Pleasant hotel with amazing views provided you get a room overlooking the river. Very handy for walking into both Buda and Pest. Expensive for food and drinks - we tended to eat out. Bar area was very pleasant. Lots of great cafes and restaurants within walking distance for all 3 meals. Not far to Opera House.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
