Just home from a 3 night stay at the intercontinental and where do I begin. It’s was fantastic, staff were very attentive and nothing was a bother. Our room had the most amazing view of Buda and the hotel was very central. Would definitely recommend you won’t be disappointed.
The rooms at the Intercontinental are nice but nothing extraordinary. What makes this place stand out is the friendly, helpful staff, the large, well equipped and well ventilated gym, the nice pool that’s actually big enough to let you do decent laps, the spacious sauna (for 5) and the clean and spacious lockers. Not to mention the lovely breakfast buffet with omelettes made to your liking 🤩
Was this the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. No. It’s getting a little tired. The rooms are clean and the view is phenomenal. Definitely book yourself a Riverview room and look over Prague castle. The breakfast is fantastic amd a great buffet as well as eggs or omelettes made to your liking. The location to walk to other places and restaurants is fantastic. I would definitely recommend staying here and think it’s the best option in Budapest.
We stayed two nights at this hotel after disembarking from a riverboat cruise. The hotel is well-situated. We enjoy walking and were able to visit the key sites on our list via foot. We stayed on the top (9th) floor and had a wonderful river view, looking across at the former palace complex. Stunning. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable but felt a little dated. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Since we had a very early flight on our check-out day, the hotel provided us with some breakfast items to take with us. (We requested this at check-in.). Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The only real drawback to me is that the hotel lacks charm. Its facade is modern and looked a bit uninspiring to me when compared to the city’s stunning architecture. It felt like a typical big, bustling conference-type hotel. There always were lots of travelers waiting in the large lobby for rooms. …
Staff named Renata extremely rude on front desk.told me take my name and post a review I don’t care she needs a lot of training on customer status before being sent on front desk. Intercontinental plz take action as she is spoiling the brand name. Would give the hotel 4 stars but giving this 2 stars just because of her curt amd arragant behaviour she behaved as if she owned the hotel. Shame on you Renata for treating customers so badly. Plz live up to the international name.intercontinental plz give her job to clean washrooms and train her for 6 months to respect and value customers
For work, I spend over 270 days a year in hotels. I chose the IC Budapest because it has #1 best location in Budapest. I loved this hotel. The bed was fantastic, lots of outlets for my devices, big spread for breakfast with Nespresso coffee served, lighting was great, staff was superior, bathroom well appointed with great water flow, screaming internet, and those views!!!! I can't recommend this hotel enough.
Excellent staff, property, and location. We checked in early and, despite having a very full hotel, the front desk found us rooms. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel in general. The location of the hotel is perfect – walking distance to all the major tourist destinations in the city. Highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed 1 night, 2 rooms, on Oct. big hotel right on river - great views from hotel and rooms (if book river side). Staff a bit curt if asked for any flexibility (like early check in, or coffee at 8:45 when they open at 9 am - “no”). Both it restaurants were close for a few days while we were there (silly to close both at once for decoration renovation) but it’s easy walking distance to many places to eat. Be aware that it’s a Viking River Cruise hotel so at times it’s mobbed in lobby. Rooms good size, location and condition (clean and classy) probably makes it worth the extra money.
Intercontinental Budapest is my first choice for my business trips to Budapest. It has an excellent location on the Danube Promenade with stunning views onto the Danube River, Buda Castle and Chain Bridge. Its rooms are spacious and I highly recommend the food at the restaurants of Intercontinental Budapest. Its staff is professional and I specially thank the director of room divisions Rita S. for her professional attitude. She got back to my emails promptly although she was away from office. This shows how dedicated she is to her job.
On a recent visit to Budapest we stayed here for our wedding anniversary we were very impressed with the Exceptional service and the Attention to detail .From arrival at the hotel every member of staff was professional and friendly. We received a bottle of champagne which was a wonderful gesture. I highly recommend booking a Danube view room we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return with friends shortly.Thank you to the team Regards Elaine o Connor
