We spent Easter weekend in this hotel, overall it wasn't that bad. The only thing was that room floor was a little bit dirty and the fortuniture was a tad old. Breakfast was alright and the stuff helped us booking a mini bus to the airport. The location was good.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Mercure Buda for 4 nights for business. Entering the lobby, it seemed like most other Mercure hotels that I had stayed at and would be satisfactory. This perception soon changed once I saw my dated room. Ok, the bed will do for 4 nights. Unfortunately, this hotel does not provide irons for...

Hotel is on very good position. Rooms are big enought. We had a good view. Brekfast is good, you can choos between lots of different things. They even had Asian corner with miso soup and some other things. Bathroom needs urgent renovation, lots of rust and lime scale in bath tub and in a basin. We spoted some mold above...

I stayed for a few days at the Buda Mercure before moving somewhere else. I was a little concerned by some of the comments I had read online, but I am delighted to say that nothing could be further from the truth. The hotel is huge, a little shabby in parts but it is being refurbished. The staff however, were...

In my opinion the worse hotel of the chain. The most part of the staff is rude, arrogant, unprofessional. We had problems with lights in the rooms, with the fan of the "air conditioning/heating" too noisy, with internet they didn't want to find a solution for nothing! They wear a mask, they are fake. The restaurant is very poor and...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
