Great location with great views on Parliament; very good value for money; good accessibility to Castle hill as well as City ctr. however relatively quiet place with limited traffic. good local restaurant with great halaszle behind the corner.

We stayed at the art otel while visiting my son who is studying at uni here. It was a perfect base for exploring the city. From the airport we took a taxi which cost us about £25. Staff here were very accommodating and even offered us a river view room which was amazing and unexpected. This made our stay even...

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and location was perfect. Located close to chain bridge on the Buda side it took about 15 minutes to get over to Pest and worked perfectly when visiting all the attractions on the Buda side (Buda castle, Fishermans Bastion, Matthias Church, Gellert Hill and both Gellert and Rudas baths). I recommend a room...

We stayed here for a short break as a couple and very much enjoyed it. Its a good modern hotel with smart and interesting decor throughout. We didn't pay for the river view room, but were at the back and had a view to castle hill. The room itself was great - Very large with beautiful high ceiling, a little...

We had emailed the hotel about a month before travelling and asked for rooms with a river view - and what a view. The parliament to the left and Chain Bridge to the right! Room was spacious clean and modern, Only issue we had was that the weather in Budapest was unusually mild for November and the whole hotel was...

The hotel was spotless, modern and thoroughly a nice place to stay. The hotel was fully booked so we got upgraded to a riverside room with fantastic views of the Danube and Hungarian Parliament building. The breakfast at the hotel is not included and is 15 euros, but there is a French cafe 2 minutes away which you can go...

This is a well located, small hotel with spacious rooms and a good staff. Some of the areas could use a little "freshening" but overall it is a comfortable hotel in a convenient and attractive location along the banks of the Danube on the Buda side. I prefer rooms with a river view, but the opposite side has pleasant views...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
