This grand hotel has the most wonderful location. It's steps away from the Danube and equally close to some of the most happening, pedestrian streets in Budapest. Walk outside your hotel and you are immediately swept up into the festive atmosphere of all the beautiful crowds milling around. The hotel rooms are spacious and have an old world charm about...

Great rooms, great location, great breakfast but best of all, the staff. From housekeeping to restaurant waiting staff to front desk, you name it, they were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. For a five star hotel I was very pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced their Es bistro was. Having enjoyed many a breakfast and three evening meals there I would...

This fine and luxurious hotel cost less than the more modest hotel where we stayed in Vienna. It's not far from the train station, well-located, in Pest, and near the metro stop. There are many retaurants nearby, including the rather pricey "Es" in the hotel itself. I was pleasantly surprised to see a large Ferris wheel right outside the hotel,...

We stayed here for 3 nights with friends and all of us agreed the location is great! The only thing that would be better is if it had a river view. The hotel is modern, but the rooms are classic and tastefully done. The lobby has a very calming interior, sedate and quiet when you walk in from the bustling...

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel this August before going on a River Cruise. The location of the hotel was fabulous. Breakfast was served in the restaurant or on the patio. The patio opens to a street with shops and is a pedestrian street. The rooms are a wonderful size and are very well appointed. The food...

This is definitely a five star hotel. Great location, within walking distance to most tourist attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and very comfortable. Hop-on-Hop-off bus stopped outside the hotel. Great pedestrian streets around the hotel with many restaurants, café, and shops. We stayed four nights here and wish we could have stay longer.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
