Well located (as are many top hotels- the city is small). Good value: nice sized room, good amenities, three nice eat/drink options. I liked the quick coffee stand (best coffee in Hotel) and the "gastropub" casual eatery. Didn't try Nobu. Excellent concierge - helpful, remembered me, very responsive. Excellent front desk personnel. Housekeeping is a tad quirky (everyday they moved...

We arrived around 2 pm on Easter Sunday, we asked for a high floor room with a view over the square with the wheel. The room was not ready. We were offered a couple of alternative rooms at lower floors and lesser views, but decided to wait and had lunch in the Nobu branch, located under the hotel roof. The...

The visit started a bit on the wrong foot with the room available an hour later than it should. This was professionaly handled by the receptionists and we were happy guests. The hotel is very modern, high end and really gives you the special feeling you look for. Perfectly situated just next to Fashion Street, Vaci Utca and Vörösmarty tér....

We arrived in Budapest early doors Sat morning and took a taxi from the airport to the hotel (£20) Our first sight of the hotel was as always fantastic. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and advised us that they did have a room ready but if we didn't like the room we could change. The room was just...

The Kempinski is one of our Virtuoso properties and we decided to stay there for the night and it was a very good idea. The property is in a good location of BudaPest and we were directed to a wonderful restaurant across the park by the Concierge. Our room was great as were the facilities of the property and I...

A very good five-star hotel in terms of hotel staff, cleanliness of the guest room, quality of breakfast, etc. I would prefer this hotel to other five-star competitors alongside of the river as you have better access to underground stations and buses e.g. bus line no. 16, which goes to tourist attractions in the Buda area, just starts in front...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
