Incredible view! Great location with access to public transportation. Icon restaurant has a fabulous Sunday breakfast buffet. Fantastic restaurants within walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting Budapest. We were booked here by Viking as part of a post cruise extension and they hit it out of the park in their choice of hotels!

What a nice location!! It just needs a 21st century update as my 500+ Euro per night room is out dated. It's located within a castle and so many restaurants all around. My parking is very easy and the staff are professional. I will choose this location again!

Have just returned from 3 nights at this wonderful hotel. Difficult to add to the comments of all other reviewers but I can not stress too highly the wisdom of paying a little bit extra for a Danube facing room with AMAZING views. Rooms 507 to 521 on the 5th floor seem to me to be just about perfect. Hungary...

This hotel is in a lovely location, right next to Matthias church and a short stroll to the castle. Just round the corner there are fantastic viewing points of the city, especially the parliament building which is stunning. We didn't have a river view with our room which would have been great. The room was clean and comfortable and a...

Dear Guest, I appreciate you taking the time to submit your review on TripAdvisor. The room at the hotel was nothing special, no great view. However it was right in the heart of the Castle District, which meant a short walk to the Fisherman's Bastion for sunset pictures over the Danube of the Parliament building, pictures of Mattias Church, and of course the Bastion as well. Be advised though that not just in this...

We have stayed at this hotel a number times over the years, and have found that it has maintained a high standard of quality and comfort. The personnel are generally friendly and helpful; the breakfast buffets are sumptuous and the restaurant dinners excellent. There are special offers with rates to suit most budgets. The Danube views are romantic and beautiful.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
