We had our wedding in this hotel, and everything was just superb! Our event manager (Danijela) made everything happen for us. She is great! They made our big day to our best day. The staff is helpful, open for all of our request. The view is just fantastic, both from the ball room (where the wedding held), and also from the suit/room we had. The food was great, the service also. Everyone was kind and helpful. We had some unexpected issues 2 days before the wedding with the view of the conference room we booked (some unannounced book market built next to the terrace-blocking the view) and they were so flexible and helpful, we really felt they are about to help and solve the problem what was out of their control. Highly recommend, everything was AMAZING😍 Thank you Budapest Marriott staff for making our wedding unforgettable🙏🏻

I booked one of the Executive Rooms and got a room on the top floor with view to the Buda Castle and Chain Bridge. It seemed like a dream with the beautiful view. Then, everything turned into a nightmare, when a massive party kicked off just right under our window in the Executive Lounge. I called reception at 23:00 to complain, and was told that the music would stop at 1:00. As we wanted to sleep, but the music and screaming were unbearably loud, I asked to be moved to another room. The receptionist said that he will talk to his manager. He called me back and said that there are only a couple of rooms available on a lower floor in a lower room category, but he assumed that street noise would bother me anyway, so he didn't recommend it. When I asked to be moved nevertheless, he said that they are fully booked and a room move is not possible. It is a contradiction and a lie, because he just offered me another room, but a few seconds later he said that they are fully booked. The situation was not resolved, leaving me without sleep until early morning. The same happened next night with a techno party, which lasted until midnight despite that I was told at reception that there are no parties for the second night - another lie. There was no solution offered at all to a problem, which could have been easily prevented or rectified at least. First, I was not informed at the time of reservation that my sleep will be affected by a party (even though I contacted reservation myself regarding other requests, and I also received automatically generated pre-arrival e-mails). Second, I got a room right above the party and I was not warned upon arrival (which would have been already too late, but at least honest). Third, I was not offered a solution (room move, refund, etc.) - not even earplugs. Fourth, I was not offered to find an alternative accommodation (e.g. in another Marriott). Fifth, I have received neither a genuine apology nor a compensation of any sort. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. It is especially shocking, because one would expect something more from a 5 star Marriott. You can have events, parties, weddings, etc., but you should inform your other guests far in advance or offer a solution at least. Had I known this advance, I would have definitely cancelled my reservation and booked elsewhere. I was left ripped off and sleepless instead, and I am sure that there are many others, who were unaware of these parties. I heard other guests complaining to each other and to reception, but all we got is an empty "sorry". Quite shameful and disgusting to mislead and outright lie to guests in order to make profit without delivering basic services, such as proper sleeping quality! The general knowledge of English is basic at reception, whilst breakfast is a disaster, leaving people unassisted to fight for tables and food in Hunger Games style. The only positive I can mention is the location of the hotel, the view from the room, and the cleanliness.

Stayed for a weekend on Executive level in regular room. The hotel is remodeled and modern in the heart of Budapest with rooms facing the river. No suites available for titanium level. The room was modern with comfortable bed, but the bathroom had almost no counter space. There is a balcony outside all rooms but inaccessible to guests. Safety reasons? The M club was located in the lobby and it offered snacks and beverages during day. In the evening they offered a large selection of items which was more of a buffet for club level guests. Wine, beer and alcohol was offered too. It’s a great way to finish a day in the city. Buffett for breakfast was fabulous with cooked to order items, fresh items, and good service. Car service cost is about same as taxi from airport and good when arriving late in the day. The extra effort are always what makes a stay nice. Mannish the F&B manager was fabulous and worked non stop helping his staff and customers. He definitely should be promoted to GM with his people skills and attention to detail. Juliet was helpful in scheduling our pick up.

We selected this hotel (over, say, the ritz carlton) because of the view, and it definitely lived up to my expectations on that front. Looks right at the river and at the best point to see the castle, etc. The room was updated and very nice and the staff super helpful even though if i looked i could tell they were still a bit understaffed. In addition they were fully booked when we were there due to the formula 1 event. This is the first marriott property i've stayed in since the pandemic onset that i felt i truly got a titanium experience as a titanium member. Their lounge was fully open (with some minor adjustments to how things were served as a covid precaution) and breakfast was wonderful. Do not fail to go to the rooftop bar - one of the best ones i've been to - service and the view there were also great. Good job Budapest Marriott! :)
