Just what the bloody doctor ordered. Insanely good hostel, people, culture and good times. Super easy to meet people, awesome nights with the hostel crew, but also easy to do your own thing too I'll be back, possibly weekly. Cheers legends

Stayed here for 4 nights and it's the best hostel I have stayed in. Well looked after every minute we were there by Aussie Dave and minion, they arrange some great nights out, I recommended the open mic night! Would definitely go back!

Fantastic hostel! Amazing friendly and helpful staff, good facilities and a great atmosphere. The location is perfect for site-seeing, nightlife and anything else you want to do in Budapest. The hostel finds the perfect balance between being a party hostel and a relaxed environment. Also a great place to meet like-minded travelers. One of Budapest's and even Europe's best!

So I was traveling from country to country for my holiday and I have to say, of all the hostels that I've stayed in, this was the best. I have never been so welcomed in my life. The workers gave us so much information about what to do in the city during the day and even gave us activities and...

I was only supposed to stay at this hostel for three nights... I ended up staying for over three weeks. I absolutely fell in love with this hostel and everyone I met there. This is the kind of hostel where you meet so many amazing people who eventually become your family away from home. They have so many guests that...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

If you are just looking for a bed and nothing else...easy, there are thousands elsewhere in the city.If you want something more from a hostel, from the people who work and live there, if you want a community, an experience, and an atmosphere bursting with creativity, excitement and fun... welcome to Vitae, welcome to real hostel life.At the bottom of this page you can get a taste of some upcoming events in the city. We offer clean,. bright spacious rooms, with hard to beat security and the real difference, attentive and caring staff who actually take an interest in all parts of your stay in Budapest.60% of our total floor space is sociable space so that there is a ton of room for you to chill, or play games, meet people or watch dvds. We have a large modern kitchen, for you to cook for yourself or for us to cook for you, as we have in house cook-ups almost every night for just the cost of the ingredients. We know that Budapest is not just about tours, castles and churches which is why we organise something every night with a group program, but we also can suggest other cultural or party ideas for you as we like to keep ourselves with the finger on the pulse of what is going on in the city. ... more   less
